What a blow! Benevento winning the Serie A Week 28 game defeating Juventus at the Allianz Stadium on Sunday 21 March 2021. This is a shocking defeat for Juventus and a super away victory for Benevento. It was the battle of the two ex-AC Milan teammates Benevento Coach Filippo Inzaghi and Juventus Coach Andrea Pirlo. Bam! Inzaghi causing an upset and stopping Juventus on their quest to climb the Serie A Standing being now -4 points below AC Milan with 59 points and -10 points below Inter with 65 points and a pending game. Benevento ended 11 winless game reaching 29 points being 7 points clear of the relegation zone in the 16th position. Juventus were unbeaten in their previous five league games.
Benevento are the first newly promoted team to remain unbeaten in both seasonal games against Juventus since Sampdoria in 2012/13. On Week 9, the game ended with a 1-1 draw.
The only goal of the match was scored in the 70th minute scored by Adolfo Gaich defeating Juventus goalkeeper with a right footed shot to the bottom left corner.
