Crotone sinking and sinking not seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.  The race for salvation to remain in the Serie A is just a cry out loud.

  • Stats before the game: Juventus are unbeaten in the previous 5 against Crotone in Serie A, although they have nevertheless drawn the two most recent matches.
Crotone are unbeaten in two league games against Juventus, in their history only once have they recorded a longer series of unbeaten matches against a single opponent in Serie A, against Chievo between 2016 and 2017 (three).   Crotone comes from four consecutive defeats in Serie A; in the competition they only reached 5 on 2 occasions: in October 2016 and in February 2017.  This is the challenge between the best and the worst defense of this Serie A: Juventus (19) and Crotone (52) are in fact divided by 33 goals. Juventus have conceded less than 20 goals in 9 of the last 10 seasons after 21 games, while the Crotone passive was not seen after 22 matches since Lecce 1997/98 (still 52).  Juventus’ Federico Bernardeschi has scored 12 of his 33 league goals for Crotone – 36%, despite playing only 18% of his A-B games with this shirt (38 out of 206).  Crotone can become the 78th team against which Cristiano Ronaldo scores in the five major European leagues (only Zlatan Ibrahimovic with 79 has scored more since 2000). At the moment, the Portuguese forward has scored to all Serie A teams currently in the competition (17/17).

It is Juventus to open the score in the 39th minute. Forward Cristiano Ronaldo defeating Crotone goalkeeper Cordaz with a headed shot in the bottom left corner. The assist is by defender Alex Sandro. Referee Luca Pairetto had to consult the VAR to validate the goal.

The second goal of the match arriving in the 45th minute before ending the first half. You bet, it is again Cristiano Ronaldo to score reaching 18 goals to be the top scorer of the Serie A

Jump Cristiano…. how high?
