The duel for salvation against leadership.   Spezia win the Serie A Week 22 game defeating AC Milan on Saturday 13 February 2021 at the Alberto Picco Stadium in Spezia, Italy.   The victory helps Spezia to avoid falling down to the relegation zone reaching 24 points.   AC Milan must forget this painful defeat and prepare for the UEFA Europa League next week against Crvena zvezda on Thursday 18 February in Belgrade.  Simply put, Spezia got a well deserved victoy.  Milan failed to fire a single shot on target for their first Serie A match since August 2019.

It is Spezia to open the score in the 57th minute. Giulio Maggiore defeating AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma from very close range with a left footed shot in the center.

Problems for AC Milan conceding a second goal. In the 66th minute, it is Simone Bastoni to give Spezia a momentum after scoring with a left footed shot for the 2-0.

  • AC Milan have won both matches in all competitions against Spezia (Coppa Italia in 2014 and Serie A last October), always scoring three goals. Spezia are the first team to collect more than 20 points (21 currently) after 21 seasonal games on their absolute Serie A debut from Siena in 2003/04.
