What a blow, a cold shower, a tough lesson for Genoa with new coach after the sacking of Andriy Shevchenko.  Fiorentina humiliated Genoa winning the Serie A Week 22 game on Monday 17 January at the Artemio Franchi Stadium in Florence, Italy.    Fiorentina are unbeaten in 23 Serie A home matches against Genoa (11W, 12N), only against Torino (32) do they have a longer open streak of consecutive matches without home defeats in the competition.

Fiorentina opening the score in the 15th minute. It is Álvaro Odriozola to defeat Genoa goalkeeper with a left footed shot to the center. The joy is biggest for Odriozola because it is his first goal for Fiorentina and in Serie A too. Way to go… congrats.

Genoa conceding another goal in the 34th minute. Giacomo Bonaventura increasing the score from very close range with a right footed shot to the high center.  This is Boventura’s third goal this season.

Genoa unable to react and concede another goal in the 42nd minute. It is Captain Cristiano Biraghi to smack a left footed free kick shot to the top right corner.

Fiorentina just having a blast at the Artemio scoring a poker in the 51st minute with Dušan Vlahović delivering a left footed shot to the center. The assist is by Giacomo Bonaventura.  This is Dušan Vlahović’s 17th goal this season.
