Inter starting their first 2020-2021 home game winning the Serie A Week 2 game defeating Fiorentina on Saturday 26 September 2020 at the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium in Milan, Italy.  Fiorentina failing to keep the lead after leading twice and losing their first game.   Merits go to Inter believing in the victory while Fiorentina slowed down forgetting that game is not over until the Referee whistles the end of the game.

⚽️  Fiorentina surprising Inter in the 3rd minute.  It is Christian Kouamé to defeat Inter goalkeeper Samir Handanovic from very close range with a right footed shot in the center.  The assist is by midfielder Giacomo Bonaventura.  What a way to start the game sending the clear message to Inter “No Fear.”

 

In the 21st minute, Referee Gianpaolo Calvarese changed his decision after awarding a penalty to Inter.  The decision changed after consulting the VAR stating “No Penalty.”  The fault is by Fiorentina defender Martín Cáceres on Inter forward Lauro Martinez. Cáceres got a yellow card.

⚽️ Inter equalizing in the 45th minute just before ending the first half for the 1-1.  It is Argentinean forward Lautaro Martínez to defeat Fiorentina goalkeeper Dragowski with a right footed shot in the bottom right corner despite Dragowski super stretch. The assist is by Nicolò Barella following a fast break.

Chaos for Fiorentina with an own goal in the 52nd minute by Federico Ceccherini giving the lead to Inter for the 2-1.

Fiorentina equalizing for the 2-2 in the 57th minute with Gaetano Castrovilli defeating Handanovic with a left footed shot in the bottom right corner.  Great assist by Franck Ribery.

 

The winner goal…..  by Danilo D’Ambrosio sealing the victory for Inter.  A total thriller.
