AS Roma with a big flop losing the Serie A Week 11 game defeated by AC Milan on Sunday 31 October 2021 at the Olimpico di Roma Stadium in Rome, Italy. AC Milan become the 4th team in Serie A history to win 10 of the first 11 games of the season, after Roma, Juventus (twice) and Napoli (twice). Milan and Napoli having 31 points each.  Roma are the team that Milan have beaten several times in Serie A: in 172 matches between the two teams, the Rossoneri have won 76, against the Roma’s 45 victories (51 draws to complete).

Broken record. José Mourinho has lost his first Serie A home game, after 43 matches in a row without losing: the longest unbeaten home run for a coach since 1994/95 in the competition.

✅   Stats before game.    In all the previous nine occasions, in the era of three points per victory, in which Roma have won at least six of the first 10 Serie A games, they have then closed the championship in the top three places of the standings (currently six wins, one draw and three defeats).  After a series of four consecutive wins against Milan in Serie A between 2016 and 2017, Roma have won only one of their last seven matches with the Rossoneri (2N, 4P). Roma lost their last home game against Milan in Serie A and haven’t lost two home games in a row against the Rossoneri since 2005.  Both AC Milan and Napoli have won nine of the first 10 games of the season in this league – only on four occasions does one team have achieved 10 wins in the first 11 in the entire history of Serie A: Juventus in 2005/06, Roma in 2013. / 14, Napoli in 2017/18 and Juventus in 2018/19.  After losing his first match against AC Milan in Serie A in 2008, current Roma coach José Mourinho has won all of his last three games with the Rossoneri in the top flight, with eight goals scored and only one conceded.

Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic scoring his 400th goal in the domestic leagues in which he has played and 150 of these have been scored in Serie A: the first dates back to 30 October 1999, when 15% of the players with at least one presence in this Serie A were not yet born (74 out of 489). 400th goal in domestic leagues.
