Cagliari are just begging for points being in the last position losing the Serie A Week 10 game against AS Roma on Wednesday 27 October 2021 at the Unipol Domus in Cagliari, Italy.  Roma returned to victory after the defeats against Juventus and Bodo Glimt and the draw with Napoli.  Roma reaching 19 points being only -2 points below Inter in the 3rd position. The last time Cagliari won against Roma (3-2 last April), interrupting a series of 13 consecutive matches without ever managing to get the three points (4N, 9P); the last time the rossoblùs scored two wins in a row against the Giallorossi in the competition was in 2012.

This is only the second time in Cagliari’s last 15 Serie A appearances, in which the Rossoblu have collected only six points after their first nine league games of the season – the other in 2017/18.  Roma have both scored and conceded goals in all their last nine league games played on Wednesday (4.1 goals on average in these matches), a partial in which they achieved eight wins against a defeat (in the most recent, last May against Inter). Roma have lost 10 of their 16 Serie A away games in 2021 (3W, 3N), no team has more away defeats in the period; the last calendar year in which the Giallorossi scored more KOs away from home in the competition was in 1961 (11).

Cagliari opening the score in the 52nd minute. It is Leonardo Pavoletti to defeat AS Roma goalkeeper Rui Patricio from very close range with a right footed shot to the bottom right corner. The assist is by Raoul Bellanova.

AS Roma equalizing the score for the 1-1 in the 71st minute. Ibañez defeating Cagliari goalkeeper Cragno with a headed shot to the bottom right corner. The assist is by Lorenzo Pellegrini with a cross following a corner conceded by Charalampos Lykogiannis.

Roma overturning the result and take the lead in the 78th minute. Lorenzo Pellegrini with a right footed free kick shot to the top right corner.
