Hellas Verona failing to win the Serie A Week 1 game against Sassuolo on Saturday 21 August 2021 at the Marc’Antonio Bentegodi Stadium in Verona, Italy.  Sassuolo claiming their first 3 points after defeating Verona.  Great debut for new Sassuolo Coach Alessio Dionisi with a victory giving the neroverdi fans a joy.

It’s the Serie A 2021-22 Kickoff with Hellas Verona and Sassuolo starting the season at the same time as Inter vs Genoa at 18:30.   Sassuolo ended the season in the 8th position with 62 points and a positive goal difference of +8 while Hellas Verona ended in the 10th position with 45 points and a negative goal difference of -2.

Debut for Hellas Verona and Sassuolo having new coaches in this 2021/22 Serie A season.  Hellas Verona  coached by former AS Roma Coach Eusebio Di Francesco while Sassuolo Coach Alessio Dionisi formerly Empoli Coach and replacing Roberto De Zerbi.   Sasuolo won four and drew one of the last five meetings with Verona.

Sassuolo opening the score in the 32nd minute with the goal by Giacomo Raspadori defeating Hellas Verona goalkeeper Ivor Pandur with a right footed shot to the bottom right corner.

Hellas Verona unable to react. In the second half it is Sassuolo to double the score in the 50th minute. The goal by Filip Djuricic with right footed shot.
