Hello my friends.  Here is the Serie A ROUNDUP for
the
Serie A Week 37, 2013 – 2014 Season on Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 May
2014, matchday 37.   Countdown my friends! 1 more games after this
Round and the 2013 – 2014 Serie A will end on Sunday May 18!   Juventus winning
the 2013-2014 last week!

AS Roma – 0 – 1 Juventus.   The 2013-2014 Scudetto Champions Juventus reaffirming their dominion in Serie A by defeating AS Roma their main rival at the Olimpico di Roma Stadium.  Making it a painful defeat for the Roman gladiators is that the only goal was scored by the ex forward Pablo Osvaldo in the 94th minute!   Juventus reaching 99 points and will look to celebrate the “100” mark next week in their home stadium.

Highlights for games on Saturday.   Inter 4 – 1 Lazio.  It was the last game, the goodbye from Inter Captain Javier Zanetti at the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium on Saturday 18 May 2014.  Zanetti retiring from active football professional as a player to become a Club director with Inter.  It was en emotional game as Zanetti started as a substitute in the 52nd minute embraced by a standing ovation, even, a fan invading the pitch to salute Zanetti. Inter defeated Lazio and securing their spot in the Europa League next season reaching 60 points.

Hellas Verona 2 – 2 Udinese.  A draw with a failure sense for Hellas Verona failing to win this home game at the Friuli Stadium.  Verona were in the lead and ready to battle for the Europa League, yet, a cold shower in the 91st minute.  Udinese equalizing the game to crash Verona hope….

Sad news for 3 teams, mathematically speaking, Bologna, Catania, and Livorno are relegated to Serie B.  A sweet and sour victory for Catania defeating Bologna at the Renato Dall’Ara Stadium, but not enough to save themselves.  Bologna 1 – 2 Catania.
