It’s the Verona Derby and a desperate wake up call for Hellas who are in the last position of the Serie A winning waking up!    Hellas winning the 8th Derby in Serie A and winning their 2nd game  this season.   On Week 7, the match ended with a 1-1 draw with the goals by Pisano and Castro.  This victory is not only to claim the bragging rights to rule in Verona, but also a motive for salvation for Hellas Verona.  Hellas and Chievo ending the game with 10 players each.

Things starting bad for Chievo Verona.  Referee Guida giving a penalty to Hellas Verona in the 28th minute conceded by Chievo defender Nicolás Spolli after a foul on Hellas forward Luca Toni.   Taking the penalty spot is Luca Toni and incredible so… Chievo goalkeeper Albano Bizzarri saves Luca Toni’s right footed shot failing to convert the penalty.  Yet, the ball is still in the area and Luca redeeming himself by scoring with a left footed shot in the bottom right corner.

Hellas Verona increasing the score in the 57th minute.   It’s forward Giampaolo Pazzini to score defeating Chievo goalkeeper with a  right footed shot  in the bottom right corner. The assist is by defender Mohamed Fares.

Chievo shortening the distance in the 71st minute. Referee Guida giving a penalty to Chievo conceded by Hellas Verona defender Vangelis Moras after a foul on Chievo forward Roberto Inglese.  Moras getting a second yellow card and this making it an automatic red card leaving Hellas with 10 players.   It’s forward Sergio Pellissier to convert a penalty defeating Hellas Verona goalkeeper Pierluigi Gollini with a right footed shot in the bottom right corner.

Chievo Verona remaining with 10 players.  Referee Guida giving a second yellow card to defender Nicolás Spolli in the 79th minute.
