Lazio starting the season with an away victory defeating Atalanta on Sunday 21 August 2016 at the Atleti Azzurri D’Italia Stadium in Bergamo, Italy.

Lazio opening the score in the 15th minute with forward Ciro Immobile defeating Atalanta goalkeeper Marco Sportiello with a right footed shot in the bottom right corner.   The assist is by Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.

Atalanta unable to react and Lazio scoring another goal.  In the 20th minute, defender  Wesley Hoedt defeating goalkeeper Sportiello with a headed shot in the bottom left corner.  The assist is by Lucas Biglia.

Total chaos for Atalanta conceding a third goal!  In the 33rd minute, Cristiano Lombardi scoring with a right footed shot in the top right corner.

Finally, Atalanta shortening the distance in the 60th minute.  It’s Franck Kessié to defeat Lazio goalkeeper Federico Marchetti with a right footed shot in the bottom right corner. The assist is by Andrea Conti.

Brilliant moment for Franck Kessié  scoring a second goal in the 63rd minute just thee minutes after his first goal.

Tough situation for Atalanta as Lazio increasing the score in the 89th minute.  It’s Danilo Cataldi to defeat goalkeeper Sportiello with a left footed shot in the top left corner. The assist is by Dusan Basta.

A moment of joy, historic goal for Atalanta towards the end of the match.  In the 91st minute, forward Andrea Petagna scoring his first goal in Serie A!!!   Yet, Petagna’s goal not enough to secure at least a draw for Atalanta.
