Sassuolo vs Torino ended with a thriller 3 – 3 draw at the Mapei Stadium. It is almost a victory for Torino because they win their first point this season. Torino with the urgent pressure to wake up and smell the coffee as they are in the relegation zone. The joy might be also for Sassuolo because they went from 1-3 to 3-3 seeing the goals of Torino with Linetty first and then with Belotti and Lukic. Sassuolo responding with two jewels by Djuricic and Chiriches with the usual Francesco Caputo to save at least one point avoiding the home defeat.
The unexpected result is for Atalanta 1 – 3 Sampdoria. Yep, Atalanta, the beautiful “Dea”, falling at the Gewiss Stadium. Atalanta who had a superb performance in the UEFA Champions League Midtjylland 0-4 Atalanta. Whatever happened to Atalanta returning to the Serie A with flat tires??????? The merit is for Sampdoria Coach Claudio Ranieri and his players conquering this away victory while Atalanta suffering their 2nd lost this season. Sampdoria winning their third consecutive victory reaching nine points from five games. Atalanta have lost their last two Serie A games. Sampdoria’s leader Fabio Quagliarella, 37-year-old scoring his fourth goal of the season. The black note for Sampdoria was Quagliarella failing to convert the penalty saved by goalkeeper Marco Sportiello. Atalanta losing the third position too!
Genoa 0 – 2 Inter a wake up call for Inter reacting in the second half scoring two goals. Inter Coach Antonio Conte’s changes worked. Nicolò Barella, who substituted Christian Eriksen, provided the ball to forward Romelu Lukaku to unlock the match in the 64th minute scoring his fifth goal. The victory sealed by Danilo D’Ambosio with a headed shot in the 79th minute. Inter determined to climb the Serie A Standing to the top 3 positions.
Mission accomplished for Lazio returning to victory in the Serie A after the defeat against Sampdoria. Lazio extending the good moment after their Champions League victory in the UEFA Champions League defeating Borussia. The highlight is the celebration of forward Ciro Immobile scoring his 128th goal as a Lazio player in the 76th minute. The honor goal for Bologna is scored by Lorenzo De Silvestri in the 91st minute.
