Italian Soccer Serie A supports Serie A teams in the UEFA Champions League

Unexpectedly.  Lazio Coach Maurizio Sarri reportedly resigned on Tuesday 12 March 2024. The news is a cold shower for most fans.  Sarri resigned following the Serie A Week 28 defeat Lazio 1 – 2 Udinese on Monday 11 March at the Olimpico di Roma Stadium.   Lazio are in the 11 points behind fourth-placed Bologna.

As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Sarri has handed in his notice after five losses in his past six matches.  The Club still has to accept his resignation.  Lazio president Claudio Lotito was set to meet with Sarri at the team’s training center later Tuesday.  Sarri has been in charge of Lazio for three years and his contract was until the end of next season.
