Italian Soccer Serie A

        Lazio 0 –  0 Benevento

The Inzaghi Derby ended with a goalless draw at the Olimpico di Roma Stadium on Saturday 19 September 2020.  This was a friendly game ahead of their respected debuts in the 2020-2021 Serie A.

I must say that I am so thrilled to have both Inzaghi brothers in the Serie A.  Wow, you got to be kidding!  Surely, Lazio Coach Simone Inzaghi has more experience on the technical level.  Simone has won with Lazio 2 Super Coppa Italiana as coach.  However, Benevento Coach Filippo “Super Pippo” Inzaghi has more experience as a footballer, especially with ex-team AC Milan winning 2 UEFA Champions League and with Italy team the 2006 FIFA World Cup.    I am so happy with this pre-season friendly game referred now as “The Inzaghi Derby.”

Warming up is over and now they will have to prepare for the Serie A.  On Wednesday 30 September, Lazio will play the Serie A Week 1 against Atalanta  at the Olimpico and Benevento will play against Inter at the Ciro Vigorito Stadium.

Here is LAZIO official starting lineup – formation by Coach Simone Inzaghi:

LAZIO (3-5-2) – Strakosha; Patric, Acerbi, Radu; Lazzari, Akpa Akpro, Leiva, Parolo, Lukaku; Correa, Immobile.

Here is BENEVENTO official starting lineup – formation by Coach Filippo Inzaghi:

BENEVENTO (4-3-3) – Montipò; Letizia, Glik, Caldirola, Foulon; Ionita, Schiattarella, Dabo; Caprari, Moncini, Insigne.
