✅ Zenit St. Petersburg and Juventus have previously met only in the 2008-09 Champions League group stage: 1-0 win for the Bianconeri in Turin and 0-0 draw in Russia.  In all European competitions, Juventus have never lost in eight previous matches against Russian teams (7W, 1D), scoring 18 goals and conceding only three, even if the only match in which the bianconeri did not win was the one in Zenit house of November 2008.
Zenit St. Petersburg have lost only one of their last five home games against Italian opponents in European competitions (2W, 2N): their only defeat came against AC Milan in the Champions League in October 2012.  Juventus could win the first three Champions League matches of the season for the first time since 2018-19, in the previous last season of Allegri at the helm of the bianconeri.  After winning against Malmö in the previous round, Zenit could win two consecutive Champions League games for the first time since November 2015, when they put together five in a row under the management of André Villas-Boas.
Juventus have won their last four matches of the Champions League group stage without conceding, two of them away: 3-0 against Barcelona in December 2020 and 3-0 against Malmö last September.
