“The boss told us to play our own game and we did very well in the second half,” Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba

Paul Pogba has expressed the Bianconeri’s satisfaction at replacing
the memory of October’s league defeat at the Artemio Franchi with the
joy of this evening’s Europa League win over Fiorentina.

Speaking at the end of the gripping encounter in Florence, the
Frenchman began by revealing how Antonio Conte had sought to spur the
team on to their triumphant success: “The boss told us to play our own
game and we did very well in the second half.

“Pirlo’s goal lifted us to victory and we’re happy because it has made up for the defeat we experienced here last time.”

The interview concluded with Pogba being asked whether free-kicks
like Andrea Pirlo’s winner will ever become part of the youngster’s
repertoire in the future.

“I’ve got a lot more work to do to strike them like that! He’s got
the golden touch – I need to train for a good few more years yet to hit
those kind of free-kicks.”
