Should FIFA ban Uruguay forward Luis Suarez for biting Italy defender Giorgio Chiellini? I say yes, and you? Simply put, Suarez showing to have “violent conduct” issues. It was obvious that Suarez had bitten him, he even touches his teeth as feeling pain after sinking his teeth on Chiellini’s shoulder. Come on, it’s a repeat offense… something must be done. Question now is the ban should be for how long?
Date: Tuesday 24 June 2014 during World Cup Group D Game: Italy 0 – 1 Uruguay,
Stats: Suarez, reportedly, already biting 3 players (Chiellini included), previously….
LUIS SUAREZ INCIDENTS BACKGROUND:
- Luis Suarez was banned in November 2010 for seven games in Netherlands after biting PSV’s Otman Bakkal also on the shoulder while playing for Ajax.
- Second episode, on April 23, 2013 Suarez was banned for biting Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic during a Premier League game 2-2 draw. Suarez getting a 10-game suspension while playing with Liverpool.
- Le’ts not forget the “racial abuse too”. On October 15, 2011, after a 1–1 draw against Manchester United, Suárez was accused of racially abusing Evra. Suárez was found guilty by the FA of racially abusing Patrice Evra given him an eight-game suspension and a £40,000 fine. Next meeting game, Suarez avoided to shake hands with Evra during the pre-game handshakes…
It would be unfair to give Suarez only 2 or 3 ban suspension… considering previous “biting episodes”
