“Roma are enjoying a good campaign, but we’re a strong team and never give in,” Juventus Midfielder Arturo Vidal

Arturo Vidal reiterated his belief in the merits of hard work after
taking his Serie A tally to 10 goals with tonight’s double in the
Bianconeri’s 4-2 win over Sampdoria at Juventus Stadium.

The Chilean began his post-match interview by expressing his
delight at equalling last season’s overall league haul by mid-January:
“I work every day to keep developing and am happy to have found the
target tonight.”

A spirited Sampdoria performance meant Juventus were made to dig
deep to clinch all three points tonight, and Vidal predicts the Sinisa
Mihajlovic revolution will continue in spite of this evening’s setback.

“Sampdoria grew in stature after the break and found it easier to
go forward. I don’t know if they’re the team who have given us the
greatest test so far this season, but they came here to take the game to
us and will make progress this season.”

The 26-year-old concluded with a reflection on nearest Scudetto
rivals Roma before extolling the virtues of the Bianconeri’s
never-say-die spirit when asked if the team could realistically
challenge for a historic treble.

“Roma are enjoying a good campaign, but we’re a strong team and
never give in. We want to win every competition we’re in this season and
will aim for the treble.”
