Congratulations to Juventus forward Cristiano Ronaldo winner of the Globe Soccer Award’s Player of the Century on Sunday 27 December 2020 in Dubai. The Award to Cristiano was presented by HH Sheikh Mansoor Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum — Chairman of Dubai Sports Council. Cristiano beats Barcelona forward Leo Messi and Liverpool Mohamed Salah while Bayern Munich’s Hans Flick has won the Coach of the Year award ahead of Atalanta Coach Gian Piero Gasperini.

Cristiano Ronaldo saying via his twitter account, “Couldn’t be happier with tonight’s award! As I’m about to celebrate my 20th year as a professional footballer, Globe Soccer “Player Of The Century is a recognition that I receive with so much joy and pride!”

Cristiano declaring on this recognition: “This award is giving me motivation, it’s amazing to be part of this event, this is a big honor for me. I hope the pandemic will be over next season and more people will be here. Thanks for his trophy, I am really happy. I hope I can continue to play for a few years.”

Regarding his ex teammate in Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas receiving the Globe Soccer Player Career award, Cristiano saying, “Iker is an incredible example for everyone, when he had his problem, he made us understand that we need to value what we have. I am 36, but I still love football, my life and my family,” he added.
