Juventus win the Coppa Italia Frecciarossa Quarterfinals game eliminating Sassuolo on Thursday 10 February 2022 at the Allianz Stadium in Turin, Italy.  Juventus will play the Coppa Italia Semifinal against Fiorentina.

Sassuolo participated for the first time in the quarter-finals of the Italian Cup.  Juventus and Sassuolo have never crossed paths in the Italian Cup: Juventus lost their last debut against a new team in the competition, in 2007 against Empoli, after having remained unbeaten in the previous eight (5W, 3D).

Juventus opened the score with a fast goal in the 4th minute. Forward Paulo Dybala defeated Sassuolo goalkeeper Gianluca Pegolo with a left-footed shot to the top left corner.

Juventus took the lead in the 88th minute with the own goal by Ruan attempting to clear Dušan Vlahović with a right-footed shot to the bottom left corner. The assist is by Paulo Dybala.

Stats before the game.  Counting all the competitions Juventus and Sassuolo have faced each other on 17 occasions: the balance sheet sees 12 Juventus wins, three draws and two Sassulo wins, including one in the most recent match, last October in Serie A.
Before the league match in October, Juventus had never lost at home to Sassuolo, thanks to seven wins and one draw. From the 2006/07 season onwards, no team has participated more times in the quarter-finals of the Italian Cup than Juventus (14) and none have passed this round more times than the Bianconeri (nine).  Sassuolo will participate for the first time in the quarter-finals of the Italian Cup; previously the neroverdi had stopped five times in the second round, between 2015 and 2021, always conceding at least two goals (1-0 victory against Cagliari in the second round of this edition).
