UEFA announcing the match officials for the game BENFICA vs JUVENTUS to
be played on Thursday 24 April 2014 for the UEFA Europa League Semifinal, First Leg, at the Estadio da Luz in Lisbon, Portugal at 21:05. It
is Referee Cüneyt Çakır from Turkey to direct the match. Çakır
will be supported by an
all-Turkish delegation including assistants Bahattin Duran and Tarik
Ongun and fourth official Mustafa Emre Eyisoy.

Background: Cüneyt Çakır has previously taken charge of two Juventus
matches in Europe, the first a 2-1 away win over Sturm Graz in the 2010
Europa League play-offs and the second Juve’s 3-0 Champions League
triumph at home to Chelsea last season.
As well as prestigious fixtures such as the 2012 FIFA Club World
Cup final between Corinthians and Chelsea, Cakir has also overseen the
Italian national side on three occasions.
Note: The Second Leg will be played on Thursday 1 May 2014 at the Juventus Stadium.
