Result Feyenoord vs Como, Wednesday, 14 October 2026, UEFA Champions League Matchday 2

Feyenoord pulled off an exciting 3–2 victory over Como in a UEFA Champions League Matchday 2 showdown at De Kuip Stadium on Wednesday, 14 October 2026 in the Netherlands. This marked Como's first loss in this Champions League campaign, falling 3-2 away at Feyenoord. Como had taken the lead through Assane Diao, but Feyenoord quickly equalized with Zechiël, with the Dutch side finishing the first half on top.

The match got underway with promise. Como went ahead in the 18th minute thanks to Assane Diao, though he had to leave the field due to injury shortly after. Feyenoord leveled things up in the 20th minute when Gjivai Zechiël struck powerfully to equalize for the hosts. The turning point came in the 52nd minute when Feyenoord broke the deadlock through Anis Hadj Moussa, putting them ahead 2–1. Things got worse for Como in the 81st minute when goalkeeper Robert Sánchez's own goal pushed Feyenoord's advantage to 3–1. The match concluded in the 93rd minute with a glimmer of hope for Como as Anastasios Douvikas scored to make it 3–2.

On Matchday 3, both teams face crucial matches on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, as the 36-team Champions League table starts to show which teams are genuine contenders and which are chasing. There's no room for slip-ups. Como, after suffering their first-ever Champions League loss (dropping to 1–1-0 following their 4–1 thrashing of Leipzig on MD1), risk falling into the middle-to-lower playoff/elimination zone if they lose points against Manchester United. Injuries to key attacking players like Assane Diao also pose a threat to their form. Feyenoord, having recovered from a devastating 5–1 defeat to Barcelona on MD1 by beating Como, sit at 1–0–1 and risk losing their newly earned European standing if they falter away in Spain against Real Betis.

Feyenoord 0 - 1 Como

Como breaks through in the 18th minute when Assane Diao finds the back of the net! It's a fantastic play orchestrated by Ramon, who delivers a precise pass from deep in his own half down the right flank. Diao then past Javi Lopez before finishing with composure, slipping the ball past goalkeeper Tjark Ernst into the bottom-left corner!

Feyenoord 1 - 1 Como

What a turnaround in the 20th minute! Feyenoord levels the score! Valente spots Zechiel lurking just beyond the penalty area, who manages to shake off Perrone before unleashing a powerful strike into the top-left corner!

Feyenoord 2 - 1 Como

Around the 52-minute mark, Diarra sends a beautiful lofted ball to Hadj Moussa. The forward brings it down on the right side of the penalty area, then weaves past a couple of defenders before slotting a low shot past Sanchez at the near post!

Feyenoord 3 - 1 Como

What a heartbreaker for Como in the 81st minute—an own goal changes everything! The energetic Hadj Moussa cuts in from the wing and fires off a powerful shot. The ball clips Ramon first, bounces off the post, and then deflects off poor Sanchez's back, who was completely caught off guard!

Feyenoord 3 - 2 Como

In the 93rd minute, Tasos Douvikas scores. Ramon's pass sends the Greek forward flying, and he battles past goalkeeper Ernst. The match concludes. Unfortunately, it's a loss for Como.

How is Como heading into Champions League Matchday 2?

Como arrives in excellent form during the league phase, having made a fantastic start to their historic European journey with an impressive 4–1 victory at home against RB Leipzig during Matchday 1 on September 10, 2026. Back in Serie A, Como recently played to a 0–0 stalemate with AS Roma at the Giuseppe Sinigaglia Stadium on October 11, 2026.

Note: Como 1907 has reached the UEFA Champions League for the first time in the club's 119-year history after finishing fourth in Serie A. Following bankruptcy in 2017, Como was revived in Serie D, and the Hartono brothers took charge in 2019, aiding the club's rise back through the ranks of Italian football.   Let's all rally behind Como's team and show our support! Forza, Como!
