Torino won the Serie A Week 29 match on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at the Olimpico di Torino Stadium in Turin, Italy. As it stands, Torino reaches 38 points, while Empoli is struggling in 18th place with just 22 points.

Torino secures three points after a challenging match. Empoli starts off stronger, displaying greater creativity than the home side in the first half. However, in the second half, Vanoli's squad becomes more resilient and concentrated.  Torino ultimately scoring the winning goal with a right-footed shot from Nikola Vlasic just twenty minutes before the final whistle. Despite their late efforts, the Tuscans are unable to equalize and remain in the relegation zone.

Empoli's situation is delicate, their performance has collapsed after a good first half of the season. D'Aversa's team is currently in third-last place and has brought home only two points in the last nine games

Turin is unbeaten in three games, coming off a 2-2 draw against Parma. Vanoli's team wants to maintain their good performance at the Olimpico where the Granata have not lost since last December 21st

Torino gained the upper hand in the 71st minute.  Nikola Vlasic found the net with a right-footed shot aimed at the bottom right corner. Ultimately, Toro broke the stalemate thanks to their number 10, who skillfully controlled the ball near the edge of the area, even under pressure from Marianucci, and placed it perfectly into the bottom corner!

Stats before the game
Empoli has managed to secure just two victories in their last 11 league encounters with Torino, recording 5 draws and 4 losses. Their wins came on 19 May 2019 with a score of 4-1 and again on 6 April 2024, when they triumphed 3-2 in the return match of last season's Serie A.

Torino remains unbeaten in their last five home matches against Empoli in Serie A, with 2 wins and 3 draws. This follows a period where they lost four out of their first seven home games against Empoli, winning only 2 and drawing 1. Following their 1-0 victory on 13 December, Torino has the opportunity to achieve back-to-back wins against Empoli for the first time in Serie A history. Notably, Empoli is the team that the Granata have faced the most in the league, totaling 25 matches, without ever managing to secure two consecutive wins.

Empoli currently holds the record for the longest winless streak in Serie A, having gone 13 matches without a victory (3 draws and 10 losses). In their history within the league, they have only experienced longer winless runs twice: from December 1998 to March 1999 (15 matches) and from December 2021 to April 2022 (16 matches).

Torino, on the other hand, has been quite resilient, remaining unbeaten in 10 of their last 11 league matches (3 wins and 7 losses). They have scored in each of their last nine games, marking a significant achievement. The last time they managed to score in consecutive matches for more than one game in a Serie A season was between January and May 2017, when they achieved a remarkable streak of 14 games under coach Sinisa Mihajlovic.
