Luka Modric netted the decisive goal with a spectacular strike that brought the score to 2-1. This victory marks 23 consecutive league wins for Milan. Their only defeat so far was against Cremonese on Matchday 1. No other team in Europe's Big 5 leagues can rival Milan's achievement. Milan holds second place with 53 points and has a game in hand. Pisa, on the other hand, is struggling in 19th place with just 15 points. With this win, Milan reaches 53 points. They could potentially close the gap to eight points behind Inter, but they have secured an important victory on a matchday that also features Inter-Juventus and Napoli-Roma. Meanwhile, Pisa remains at the bottom of the table with 15 points, tied with Verona. Milan faced challenges, having missed two opportunities to extend their lead to 2-0 before Pisa managed to equalize. However, in the closing moments, Modric clinched a vital win for Allegri's squad, preventing them from losing more points against a team that is performing well in the league. Pisa displayed a commendable effort in the second half, with Hiljemark's team posing a threat, but it wasn't sufficient to earn any points tonight. Milan is set to return to the pitch this week to replay their match against Como. This match will take place at San Siro on Wednesday, February 18th, at 20:45. Following that, Parma will visit San Siro over the weekend. Meanwhile, Pisa will face Fiorentina in the Tuscan derby on Monday the 23rd at 18:30, which will also be a crucial relegation battle.
