Napoli triumphed in the Serie A Week 2 match against Cagliari on Saturday, August 30, at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium in Naples. Following a strong victory over Sassuolo in the Serie A opener, Antonio Conte's Napoli also overcame Pisacane's Cagliari in their first match of the season at the Maradona.

In truth, the Azzurri faced more challenges than anticipated in front of their home crowd. A disappointing end for Pisacane's Cagliari, who left Naples empty-handed after putting up a careful, brave, and passionate performance.

Can you believe it? The winning goal came in the nail-biting 95th minute. Frank Anguissa netted the goal for Napoli with a right-footed shot to the center, assisted by Alessandro Buongiorno's cross following a corner conceded by Gianluca Gaetano.  What a cold shower for Cagliari and party time for Napoli!

All in all, we can say that Napoli is defending their Scudetto and showing no signs of slowing down. Napoli now has 6 points, while Cagliari is left with just 1 point.

Congratulations to Stanislav Lobotka for achieving the impressive milestone of 200 appearances for Napoli in the match against Cagliari.

• Lobotka first stepped onto the field on January 21, 2020, during the 1-0 Coppa Italia win over Lazio. He netted his inaugural goal for the Azzurri on May 15, 2022, in the 3-0 triumph over Genoa. Throughout his remarkable journey at Napoli, he has secured two Scudetti and one Coppa Italia.
