On Saturday, February 28, 2026, Inter triumphed over Genoa in Serie A Week 27 at the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium. With this win, Inter accumulated 67 points, significantly ahead of second-placed AC Milan, who have 54 points (Milan is set to play against Cremonese on Sunday). This marks Inter's eighth consecutive victory in the league. Federico Dimarco scored a fantastic goal in the 31st minute, followed by Hakan Çalhanoglu converting a penalty in the 70th minute. Genoa struggled to achieve a third straight positive result after their away draw with Cremonese (0-0) and their home win against Torino (3-0), leaving them without any points to distance themselves from the relegation zone. They missed a chance to capitalize on Lecce's loss to Como (3-1). This win serves as a significant morale booster for Inter, who quickly recovered after being knocked out of the Champions League playoffs by the Norwegian team Bodo Glimt.
