⚽️ Genoa extends their lead in the 40th minute. Caleb Ekuban scores for @GenoaCFC with a left-footed shot from very close range into the bottom left corner. Tommaso Baldanzi makes a fantastic play, slipping past Guillermo Maripán, advancing the ball, entering the box from the right, and attempting to shoot at the far post. Goalkeeper Paleari once again clears it centrally, and Ekuban, completely unmarked, easily slots it into the net.

🟥 Red Card: Torino's Emirhan Ilkhan received a red card in the 45+2' just before the first half concluded. It's going to be a tough challenge for Torino with only 10 players remaining.

Following four straight home losses, Genoa has gone unbeaten in their last three Serie A encounters with Torino at the Ferraris stadium (W1 D2), managing to keep a clean sheet in each match. The Rossoblu have the chance to achieve four consecutive clean sheets at home against the Granata for the first time in top-flight history.
In their last six league games, Genoa has maintained a clean sheet in three, which is one more than they managed in all of their previous 19 Serie A matches this season. Additionally, after their recent 0-0 draw with Cremonese, the Ligurians could potentially avoid two consecutive 0-0 results for the first time in the tournament since December 2024 (the first of which was against Torino).
Torino remains unbeaten in 14 of their last 15 Serie A matches (W9 D5) against Genoa, with their only loss occurring on March 18, 2022, when they fell 1-0 due to a goal from Manuel Portanova. Since the 2017/18 season, the Granata have only secured more Serie A victories against Udinese (10) than they have against the Ligurian team (nine).
Since the break for the Italian national team in mid-November, Torino has been one of the two teams with the highest number of defeats (nine, tied with Hellas Verona) and goals conceded (28, tied with Pisa) in Serie A.
This season, Torino has a goal difference of -19 (25 goals scored and 44 conceded), which is the third-worst in the league after Pisa (-22) and Hellas Verona (-24). The Granata have only recorded a worse goal difference after 26 Serie A matches on two occasions: in 2002/03 (-26) and in 1958/59 (-27).
