Atalanta and Pisa commenced their 2025-26 Serie A season with a draw on Sunday 24 August 2025 at the Gewiss Stadium in Bergamo. They will return to play next week against Parma and Roma, respectively.
Following a sluggish first half in which Pisa gained the advantage due to an own goal by Hien, Atalanta accelerated their efforts in the second half and quickly leveled the score with a goal from Scamacca. A succession of attempts and saves from Semper ensured that the Tuscans remained competitive, allowing them to ultimately earn a point.
Pisa gained the advantage in the 26th minute due to an own goal by Isak Hien. Idrissa Touré delivered a cross from the right side aimed at the six-yard box, but Samuele Angori redirected it back into the area where Hien attempted to intervene, inadvertently deflecting the ball into his own net, thus surpassing goalkeeper Marco Carnesecchi.
⚽️ Atalanta leveled the score in the 50th minute. Gianluca Scamacca netted a goal with a right-footed shot directed to the bottom right corner. The assist was provided by Mario Pašalić. There was nothing for Pisa goalkeeper Adrian Semprer to do.
