Atalanta and AC Milan concluded Serie A Week 9 with a draw on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at the New Balance Arena in Bergamo, Italy. This marks Atalanta's seventh draw in nine league matches, and their fifth consecutive one, bringing them to 13 points, tying with Como (who will face Verona away tomorrow) in sixth place. Meanwhile, AC Milan, with 18 points, was unable to temporarily surpass Roma, tying with the Giallorossi in second place and remaining three points behind league leaders Napoli. To put it simply, AC Milan took an early lead just four minutes in with a shot from Samuele Ricci at the edge of the box, which was significantly deflected by Ederson. However, Atalanta quickly responded, first nearly equalizing with Ahanor's shot that went over the bar, and then finding the equalizer in the 35th minute when Lookman scored his first league goal, beating Maignan with a powerful left-footed shot under the crossbar after receiving a pass from Pasalic. Opportunities in the second half were scarce until the 85th minute, when Maignan had to jump to deflect Zappacosta's curling shot into the corner. The match ended in a 1-1 draw.

Samuele Ricci netted with a right-footed strike to the top left corner after a corner given away by Marten de Roon.
