⚪️⚫️ Juventus vs AS Roma 💛❤️

Roma held Juventus to a goalless draw, which is disappointing news for Juve as they lost their sole lead in the standings. Juventus now shares the top spot with Inter, Torino, and Udinese, all sitting at 7 points. Meanwhile, Roma finds themselves in 16th place with just 2 points.

The match was a tough battle between two competitive teams, resulting in a point for each but lacking excitement for the fans. Juventus came close to scoring with Dušan Vlahović, while Roma had a chance with Pellegrini, but there were only two shots on target throughout the game.

On a brighter side, Thiago Motta got to evaluate his new players, with Conceicao making a solid impression. De Rossi, on the other hand, chose to rotate between Soulé and Paulo Dybala, with the legendary player making his entrance in the second half.

Juventus and Roma drew their last league clash, 1-1 last May at the Olimpico (goal by Romelu Lukaku for the Giallorossi and Bremer for the Bianconeri); the two teams have not drawn two games in a row in Serie A since March 2006/September 2007.

Juventus could win all of their first three Serie A games of the season for the first time since 2018/19; furthermore, only three times in their history in the tournament have the Bianconeri achieved three wins in the first three without conceding a goal: in 2014/15, 2004/05 and 1986/87.

Only against Inter have Juventus played more games (182) and collected more wins (87) than against Roma in Serie A: 180 games played so far against the Giallorossi, for a record of 86 wins, 42 defeats and 52 draws. Furthermore, the two teams from the capital are the ones against which the Bianconeri have conceded the most goals in the competition: 286 against Lazio and 277 against the Giallorossi.

From 2012 onwards, Juventus have won 11 of the 13 home matches (1D, 1P) against Roma in Serie A; in the period considered, against no team have the Bianconeri snatched more home successes in the top flight (11 also against Udinese and Fiorentina).

Roma have conceded goals in 21 consecutive away matches against Juventus in Serie A - the last clean sheet for the Capitoline team on the Bianconeri's pitch in the tournament dates back to 29 September 2001, in a 2-0 victory, with goals from Gabriel Batistuta and Marcos Assunçao: this is the longest open streak of consecutive away matches (21 in fact) with goals conceded for the Giallorossi against a single opponent in the competition.

Roma have lost three of their last five Serie A games (W1 D1), after having suffered only one defeat in their previous 11 (W6 D4); furthermore, the Capitoline team could fail to win any of their first three games of a Serie A tournament, for two seasons in a row, for only the second time in their history (the first dates back to 2010/11-2011/12).

The only goal scored by Roma in this tournament came with a header from Eldor Shomurodov, against Empoli; in 2024, no team has scored more goals with this fundamental in Serie A than the Giallorossi: 10, equal with Fiorentina and Milan.

Juventus is the team that has conceded the fewest shots on target in the five major European leagues in progress: only one, in the last match against Hellas Verona; furthermore, always considering these tournaments, only Torino has lost fewer balls (175) than the Bianconeri (185) among the teams with at least two games played.

Dušan Vlahović is the top scorer in Serie A in 2024 (12 goals), followed closely by Paulo Dybala, Teun Koopmeiners, Lautaro Martínez and Duván Zapata (all with nine goals). The 2000-born player is also the player who has scored the most multiple goals in Serie A in the last six seasons (since 2019/20): 18.

Tommaso Baldanzi provided his first assist in Serie A in the last round of the championship against Empoli; furthermore, the Roma striker scored his last goal in the top flight against Juventus, on 27 January, with Empoli, becoming the youngest Italian player to have found the net at the Allianz Stadium against the Bianconeri in the competition (20 years, 310 days).
