Stats before the game

Empoli and Juventus drew their last league match (1-1 at the Allianz Stadium on 27 January), only once have the Tuscans remained unbeaten in two consecutive matches against the Bianconeri in Serie A: in 1998/99 (1W, 1D). Juventus have won six of their last seven away games against Empoli in Serie A (1D), scoring 16 goals in the period (2.3 goals on average) and conceding exactly half (eight).

Empoli (1W, 2D) have remained unbeaten in their first three Serie A games of the season for only the second time in their history, after 2006/07 (with Luigi Cagni as coach) - the Tuscans then won the fourth game of that championship. Empoli have won three and drawn two of their last five home league games, the Tuscans have not had a longer unbeaten run at home in Serie A since March-May 2016 (six in that case).

After three clean sheets in their first three games of the campaign, Juventus could keep a clean sheet in all of their first four Serie A games of the season for only the fifth time in their history, after 2014/15, 1986/87, 1983/84 and 1965/66.

Emmanuel Gyasi has scored in their last two league games, only one foreign Empoli player has found the net in three consecutive matches in the three points for a win era in Serie A: M'Baye Niang last February.

Dušan Vlahović has scored four goals against Empoli in Serie A, including his first brace for Juventus in the league (on 26 February 2022 at the Castellani). After his brace at the Bentegodi against Hellas Verona, the 2000-born player could score in both of his first two away games of the season in Serie A for the first time.
