Result Napoli vs Como, Coppa Italia Quarterfinals, Tuesday 10 February 2026
🏆🇮🇹👉 What a surprise! Napoli was defeated in the Coppa Italia Quarterfinals on Tuesday, February 1, 2026. Como triumphed in the penalty shootout at the Diego Armando Maradona stadium, moving on to the Coppa Italia semifinals. Como will compete against Inter in a two-legged match that will determine who advances to the final at the Olimpico. The regulation time concluded with a score of 1-1. Baturina opened the scoring with a penalty late in the first half, but Vergara leveled the score shortly after the second half began. Simply put, Como accomplished a remarkable feat, eliminating Italian champions Napoli.
Interestingly, just like in the round of 16, penalties were crucial for Napoli. Unfortunately, Romelu Lukaku missed Napoli's second penalty, but Milinkovic-Savic made a crucial save, stopping Como's fourth penalty taken by Perrone. The match was intense, going all the way to the eighth penalty. Kempf scored, but Butez made an incredible save to deny Lobotka's attempt. The celebration erupted for Como in front of a stunned stadium.

Napoli and Como are set to meet in the Coppa Italia for just the third time, following two encounters during the 1999/2000 group stage: a 1-1 draw at Napoli on August 18, 1999, and a 2-1 victory for the Campania team away on September 15, 1999.
Napoli has the chance to reach the Coppa Italia semifinals for the first time since the 2020/21 season; they successfully advanced past the quarterfinals in both of their last two seasons (2019/20 and 2020/21).
Como has made it to the Coppa Italia quarterfinals for only the second time in their history, the first being in 1985/86, when they knocked out Hellas Verona and reached the semifinals (where they were eventually eliminated by Sampdoria).
Napoli has managed to win just one of their last six encounters with Como across all competitions (D1 L4): a 3-1 victory at home on October 4, 2024, in Serie A, after previously winning five of their last six competitive matches against the Larians (D1).
Following a 0-0 draw on November 1, 2024, in Serie A, Napoli and Como could end up drawing two consecutive matches in all competitions for only the second time, mirroring the stretch from May to November 1987 (which also featured two consecutive draws in Serie A).
Despite losing all 13 competitive away matches against Napoli, Como has remained unbeaten in four of their last five away games against the Partenopei (W2 D2); however, Como's last away victory against Napoli dates back to September 7, 2003 (1-0 in Serie B).
Rasmus Højlund has netted seven of his 10 goals this season at the Maradona, matching his best home scoring record for a team in Europe's top five leagues (he also scored seven with Manchester United in 2023/24).
Tasos Douvikas is Como's leading scorer in this Coppa Italia with three goals and has a total of 11 for Como overall. Among Serie A players who have scored more than ten goals this season, only Kenan Yildiz (two) has fewer away goals than the Greek striker (three). Notably, all three of Douvikas's goals in this Coppa Italia have been scored during home games.
Referee Gianluca Manganiello, hailing from the Pinerolo section, will oversee the match. He will be supported by Alessandro Costanzo from Orvieto and Luigi Rossi from Rovigo. Giovanni Ayroldi from Molfetta will serve as the fourth official. Matteo Gariglio will take on the role of VAR, while Francesco Fourneau will act as AVAR.
