Napoli have won six of their last nine matches against Juventus in Serie A (D1 L2), as many victories as in the previous 22 meetings between these two teams in the competition (D4 L12); in fact, from 2019/20 onwards, the Neapolitan team is the one that has beaten the Bianconeri the most times in the league (six, at least two more than any other opponent).

Juventus have won 10 of their last 13 home matches against Napoli in Serie A, including the last one played last season (1-0 with a goal by Gatti); in this partial one draw and two Azzurri victories, both by 1-0 (Raspadori and Koulibaly the scorers).

Thanks to three wins and a draw, Napoli have remained unbeaten in the last four occasions in which they have faced Juventus with a points advantage in the Serie A standings (currently nine points for the Neapolitans, eight for the Bianconeri).

Juventus have not conceded a single goal in their four games this season and have only kept a clean sheet in their first four Serie A games on four other occasions (1965/66, 1983/84, 1986/87 and 2014/15), while only in the most recent of these (2014/15) have they managed to keep a clean sheet in the fifth (a record for the Piedmontese in the top division). Napoli are in second place with nine points, thanks to three consecutive victories after losing on matchday one; the Campanians have not achieved four consecutive wins in Serie A since their run of eight between January and February 2023 under Luciano Spalletti.

The team that has attempted the most shots so far in the 2024/25 Serie A (Napoli, 72) and the team that has conceded the fewest to their opponents (Juventus, 25) face off; last season, after four matchdays, the Neapolitans had attempted six more shots (78), while the Bianconeri had conceded more than double compared to this year (51). In the four matches of this championship, Juventus have only attempted 44 shots, of which 16 on target, for an Expected Goals value of 3.8, while in the first four matchdays of 2023/24 they had collected more than double the expected goals (7.8 xG), thanks to 58 shots, of which 19 on target.

Among Juventus coaches with at least 50 benches, Antonio Conte is second only to Carlo Carcano in terms of percentage of successes in all competitions (68% vs 71%); in fact, the current Napoli coach is only one of six coaches to have exceeded 100 victories in black and white (102W, 34D, 15P).

While August is the month in which Dusan Vlahovic historically has the best goal average in Serie A (nine goals in 12 games, 0.75 on average), September is, among the months in which he has scored (therefore excluding June and July), the one in which he has the worst average (five goals in 18 games played, average 0.28) – among the 18 teams against which he has played at least 300 minutes in Serie A, only against Roma (one goal in 759 minutes) does the Serbian have a worse goal average than against Napoli (one in 516 minutes played).

Romelu Lukaku has found the net in his first two appearances in this championship and between the Premier League and Serie A the Belgian has never managed to score in the first three games of the season, reaching two out of three in five other occasions (including the 2023/24 season with Roma) – Juventus is the team against which the Napoli striker has lost the most games in the Italian top flight (five in seven games).
