Since Gian Piero Gasperini took over as coach of Atalanta (since 2016/17), the Goddess has won nine Serie A games against Genoa (D4, L1) and has only done better against two teams in that period: 10 wins against Bologna and 12 against Sassuolo.

With two goals, Atalanta will reach 600 goals under the guidance of the Piedmontese coach and the only coach to have done better with a single team in the tournament was Giovanni Trapattoni at Juventus (631 goals).

Atalanta is – on par with Parma – one of the two worst defenses of the current championship: 12 goals conceded by the Bergamo team in these first six matchdays, all accumulated in the first 60 minutes of play. At this point in the 23/24 tournament, the Bergamo team had conceded five goals.

In the last two Serie A matches against Venezia and Juventus, Genoa have conceded five goals out of five in the second half: only Parma (10) have conceded more goals in the second half than the Ligurians so far (eight).

Atalanta is the team against which Andrea Pinamonti has played the most minutes in Serie A without ever scoring: 612 distributed in eight games, without any goals and no winning assists.
