Italy win the UEFA Nations League Third Place Match defeating Belgium on Sunday 10 October 2021 at the Juventus Stadium in Turin, Italy.   Italy Head Coach Roberto Mancini  restart a new Serie after Spain stopped their 37 consecutive unbeaten games.  Well done Italy!  This is the 24th match between Italy and Belgium in all competitions with Stats showing: Italy 16 wins, 4 draws, and Belgium 4 wins.  It’s a great feeling to return to the winning path. The Azzurri were applauded off the pitch by the fans and encouraging chants for goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma.


Italy opening the score in the 47th minute. It is Nicolò Barella to defeat Belgium goalkeeper Courtois with a right footed shot to the center following a corner conceded by Jan Vertonghen. This is Barella’s 7th goal with Italy and the 100th goal of the Mancini Era.

Italy increasing the score in the 65th minute. Domenico Berardi converting a penalty with a left footed shot. The penalty is conceded by Timothy Castagne after a foul on Federico Chiesa.

Belgium shortening the distance in the 86th minute. It is Charles De Ketelaere to defeat Italy goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma with a left footed shot to the bottom right corner. The assist is by Kevin De Bruyne following a fast break.
