Turin’s Juventus Stadium will host Italy vs. Spain on Thursday 6th October 2016. It is the second match for the Azzurri as they look to qualify for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia following their opening fixture away against Israel.

The match against the Spanish will be the third official fixture for Giampiero Ventura as head coach after he succeeds Antonio Conte at the end of the European Championship and his debut will be on Thursday 1st September 2016 in a home game against France.

The Azzurri will compete in their third match at the Juventus Stadium. The Azzurri’s first appearance there was against the Czech Republic on 10 September 2013 when a 2-1 win secured mathematical qualification to the Brazil World Cup. Italy’s most recent match at the stadium was a friendly 1-1 draw with England on 31 March 2015.

Italy have played Spain in 34 previous encounters and the past results are perfectly balanced. Each side has won ten times with 14 draws between them. Their latest meeting ended with a 1-1 draw in Udine on Thursday 24th March 2016.
