MILAN – The Giovanissimi Regionali started off 2014 with a bang, winning 7-0 at Perugia, and overall it was a weekend full of useful tests for the Inter youth coaches. The aim was that of preparing for the league seasons to start up again, beginning with the Primavera team who have the derby on Sunday 12 January in Interello.

Salvatore Cerrone’s Primavera side played a friendly match against Genoa at the Centro Sportivo Torriani in Novate Milanese. The visitors won 1-0.
The lads from Gianmarco Corti’s Allievi Nazionali Serie A and B side enjoyed a 3-0 away victory against Aldini, with Galtarossa, Appiah and Dimarco finding the net.
Benoit Cauet’s Allievi Nazionali Lega Pro team won the 3rd annual Ielasi Tournament by beating Novara 4-1 in the final. The Nerazzurri goal scorers were Bakayoko, Opoku, Mattioli and Fontana.
Stefano Bellinzaghi’s Giovanissimi Nazionali also beat their Novara counterparts in a friendly that finished 4-2, thanks to a brace from Traorè and additional goals from Russo and Poletto.
The Giovanissimi Regionali, coached by Marco Mandelli, took part in the 4th edition of the Memorial Ielasi tournament. The boys made it to the semi-final match, where they were eliminated 4-3 by Roma. On the way there they enjoyed victories against Perugia (7-0), Prato (6-1) and Juventus (4-0).
