APPIANO GENTILE – Hugo Campagnaro gave an interview to Mediaset following the Nerazzurri’s first training session of the day, explaining the impact of the Fredy Guarin affair on the squad: “We’re trying to think about this as little as possible, and trying to focus on playing. These things have nothing to do with us. We’re looking to win as soon as possible. Would Guarin be a big loss to the club? I don’t know because I’m not sure if he’s staying or going, but as I’ve said, we need to focus on playing.”
Where does the team go from here? “The team is working very hard, but if we don’t start winning again soon things will get tricky and morale will dip, that’s why we need to try and win our next match. Disgruntled fans? It’s tough for all concerned. For us too. We know they want a win, we expect them to support us over the course of the 90 minutes, then if they want to boo and criticise us afterwards that’s their prerogative because they’re paying customers. We hope and expect to win the match because the squad is working hard and we’re trying to play our own game.”
