👉 Note:  Diego Armando Maradona died on Wednesday 25 November 2020 in Tigre, Buenos Aires, Argentina. Maradona was born on October 30, 1960 in Lanús, Buenos Aires.  Maradona joined SSC Napoli on July 5, 1984 presented at the San Paolo Stadium and welcomed by 75,000 fans.  Maradona played for Napoli from 1984 to 1991 becoming a legend leading Napoli to win their first ever Serie A Scudetto Italian Championship in 1986–87 and second one in 1989–90.  Maradona had 91 caps with Argentina National team scoring 34 goals.   Maradona played in four FIFA World Cups:   World Cup 1986 in Mexico, Captain and led Argentina to victory over West Germany in the final winning the Golden Ball as the tournament’s best player.  Argentina eliminated England with the infamous ‘Hand of God’ goal and a superb goal a 60 m (66 yd) dribble past five England players, voted “Goal of the Century” by FIFA.com voters in 2002.
