Sampdoria confirm that four more footballers Omar Colley, Albin Ekdal, Antonino La Gumina, and Morten Thorsby  in addition also the club doctor Amedeo Baldari have all tested positive for the Coronavirus COVID-19 on Friday 13 March 2020. The first reported Coronavirus case for Sampdoria was forward Manolo Gabbiadini on Thursday 12 March 2020.   The good news is that all of them are in good health and are at their respective homes in Genoa.  The best message is stay at home.

Sampdoria reaffirm that they have carried out all the necessary procedures in accordance with the law: all the club’s offices are closed and the players, club officials and staff potentially infected are in voluntary self-isolation at home.  All sporting activities have been suspended and essential administrative and organizational operations are being carried out remotely.

Sampddoria President Massimo Ferrero, the directors, Coach Claudio Ranieri and the team ask everyone to follow the national and regional orders rigidly  for the common good.
