It’s official. Hellas Verona defender Rafael Márquez is ruled out for the games with the Mexico National Team in the friendly games against Ecuador on 28 March at the Memorial Coliseum in Los Angeles and Paraguay on 31 March 2015 in Kansas City. Originally, Mexico Head coach Miguel Herrera had called up Marquez. However, Hellas Verona club notified on Tuesday 10 March that Marquez suffered an injury on his left knee during the training last Friday.
Marquez could not played this weekend either against AC Milan during the Serie A Week 26 where the game ended AC Milan 2 – 2 Hellas Verona at the San Siro Stadium on Saturday 7 March. Surely, Herrera still consider Marquez for future games.
Marquez besides being Captain of the Mexican National team is also considered as one of the best defenders in Mexico. Marquez is the only Mexican player in Serie A.
All the best to Rafael Márquez for a prompt recovery.
