Serie A Standing BEFORE the game:
Torino, 9th position with 45 points and a positive goal difference of +2
Frosinone, 18th position with 27 points and a negative goal difference of -23

Frosinone are in the relegation zone and their dream for salvation urged them to start wining.  Unfortunately, Frosinone ended the Serie A Week 33 with a goalless draw against Torino on Sunday 21 April 2024 at the Olimpico di Torino Stadium in Turin, Italy. Frosinone have drawn their last three Serie A matches, as many draws as in the previous 23 (W4, L16); the Ciociari have not shared the stakes for multiple consecutive matches between Serie A and Serie B since December 2021 (four in that case).

Stats before the game: Torino are unbeaten in their five matches against Frosinone in Serie A, thanks to four wins followed by a draw in the first leg; Among the opponents against whom the Granata have never lost, there are only more matches against Mantua (14), Salernitana (eight) and Messina (six). Torino won their first two Serie A home matches against Frosinone, who could become the 18th team beaten by the Granata in their first three home matches in the competition, the first since Piacenza in 2000. From the beginning of December onwards, Torino have kept 11 clean sheets in Serie A and in the period no team from the top five European leagues has done better (Inter also has 11). No team has kept more clean sheets at home this season than Torino (11, like Bologna); in addition, for the first time in their history in Serie A, the granata have recorded 11 clean sheets at home in a single tournament – the last team to rank outside the top eight positions at the end of the season and with 12 home clean sheets is it was Sampdoria in 1985/86.

Serie A Standing BEFORE the game:
Lecce, 13th position with 32 points and a negative goal difference of -21
Sassuolo, 19th position with 26 points and a negative goal difference of -23

Sassuolo running out of time for salvation and failed to win the Serie A Week 33 game against Lecce on Sunday 21 April 2024 at the Mapei Stadium in Sassulo, Italy. Lecce conquered the Mapei reaching to 35 points and could be worth a good chunk of survival. Sassuolo collects their 19th knockout. in the championship and thus remains second to last in the standings, with only 26 points.

Since Luca Gotti’s arrival, Lecce have kept a clean sheet in three out of four matches, while they had only obtained two clean sheets in the previous 28 matches with Roberto D’Aversa on the bench this championship.

In the next round of the championship, Sassuolo will be guests of Fiorentina and Lecce will host Monza.

Lecce opened the score in the 11th minute. Valentin Gendrey defeated Sassuolo goalkeeper Andrea Consigli with a headed shot to the center. The assist is by Remi Oudin.

Lecce doubled the score in the 15th minute. Patrick Dorgu scored with a right footed shot to the bottom left corner. The assist is by Antonino Gallo.

Total chaos for Sassuolo. Lecce with another goal in the 61st minute, a goal by Roberto Piccoli with a left footed shot to the center. The assist is by Nikola Krstovic.

Stats before the game: Sassuolo have achieved three wins and two draws in five Serie A matches against Lecce and in the competition they have only faced SPAL more often (6: 4W, 2D) among the teams against which they have never lost. Sassuolo won their first two Serie A home matches against Lecce, who could become the fourth team beaten by the neroverdi in their first three home matches in the competition, after Crotone, Empoli and Milan. Sassuolo have drawn their last three Serie A matches, as many times as in the previous 19 league matches (W3, L13); only once have they achieved four draws in a row in the competition (April 2018 – the third against Milan in that case too). Sassuolo have remained unbeaten in their last three Serie A home games (W1, D2) and have not done better in the competition since last May (W4, D2) – in particular Davide Ballardini could become the first coach to remain unbeaten in his first four games in home in the top league on the black-green bench.

Italian Soccer Serie A

👉    Hello, my friends. Here are the 2023-2024 Italian Serie A Week 32 RESULTS / Thirty-second Round on Friday 12, Saturday 13, Sunday 14, and Monday 15 April 2024.  Inter is the sole leader with 83 points followed by AC Milan in the 2nd position with  69 points.  Inter have a +14 lead and are closer to the 20th Scudetto in their history.

Inter and Cagliari ended with a 2-2 draw.  Yet, the result does not affect Inter because they are still the leaders.  Sassuolo vs AC Milan also finished with a draw of 3-3.  In a few words, the Standing for the top 6 positions did not move.

There is an interesting detail. All the 4 games on Saturday ended with a draw. There is bad news during the game Udinese v Roma on Sunday.  In the 72nd minute, Roma defender Ndicka collapsed to the ground, drawing the attention of his teammates and doctors from the club. Daniele De Rossi’s center-back was taken off the pitch on a stretcher and subsequently taken to hospital for further checks.  Referee Pairetto decreed the suspension of the match, which will resume, as required by the Regulations, in the same game situation at the moment of the interruption 1-1. The match was therefore postponed to a later date, but the most important news is that the player remained conscious during the transport to the hospital.

The thirty-second round is completed with two more draws.   Little changed even at the bottom, where Lecce took the advantage in this round with the three points taken in the direct clash against Empoli.

Serie A Standing BEFORE the game:
Bologna, 4th position with 58 points and a positive goal difference of +20
Monza, 11th position with 42 points and a negative goal difference of -7

Bologna with a sprint race to get points dreaming to overtake the 3rd position. Bologna challenge Monza in the Serie A Week 32 game on Saturday 13 April 2024 at the Renato Dall’Ara Stadium in Bologna, Italy.
Bologna dominated the game, created and wasted with Ferguson and Orsolini, rebounding against the Brianza team, attentive in the defensive phase – never dangerous on the counterattack. Thiago Motta doesn’t take advantage of the substitutions. This is the second consecutive 0-0 which keeps the positions in the Champions League unchanged.

The rossoblu, got eight points in the last four matches, want to consolidate the Champions League zone; in front, the Brianza team fresh from defeats against Turin and Naples.

On the thirty-third day, Bologna will play a direct clash at Roma’s home while Palladino’s team will host Atalanta.

Stats before the game: Balanced record between Bologna and Monza in Serie A, with a win for each side and a draw in three matches, in which both teams scored a total of two goals. After remaining unbeaten in the first five home matches against Monza between Serie B and Serie C (2W, 3D), Bologna lost the most recent one in Serie A, 0-1 on 12 February 2023 (goal by Giulio Donati). Bologna drew their last match (0-0 vs Frosinone) in Serie A, after having won eight of the previous nine (1P); the last time the rossoblù recorded at least two consecutive draws in the competition dates back to last September (three 0-0s in a row in that case, the last of the series against Monza). Bologna have kept 10 clean sheets at home in this championship, no team has done better in the 2023/24 Serie A – only in 1946/47 and 1966/67 did the rossoblù team reach 11 home clean sheets in the competition. Monza have lost three of their last five matches in Serie A (2W) – the same defeats suffered in the double of the previous matches (4W, 3D) – and in this period they have conceded an average of 2.2 goals per match (11 goals against).

Serie A Standing BEFORE the game:
Juventus, 3rd position with 62 points and a positive goal difference of +21
Torino, 9th position with 44 points and a positive goal difference of +2

The  Derby della Mole between Torino and Juventus for the Serie A Week 32 ended with a goalless draw on Saturday 13 April 2024 at the Allianz Stadium in Turin, Italy. Juventus have remained unbeaten in their last 17 matches against Torino in Serie A, keeping a clean sheet in three of their last five derbies. It is the eighteenth consecutive derby without victories in Serie A for Torino, who return to scoring points after the defeat in Empoli and move within three points of eighth place occupied by Napoli, who play Frosinone tomorrow. Juventus also gained a point, which momentarily rises to +5 on fourth-placed Bologna and slightly closes on second-placed Milan, also five points away.

No goals and few opportunities in the Turin derby. The most important ones both happen on the left foot of Dusan Vlahovic, who in the 7th minute hits the post with a first-intention kick on a cross from Chiesa and in the 31st minute he is stopped by a great save from Milinkovic-Savic, who does well to cover the mirror with his body. The second half opens with a goal disallowed by Zapata due to a foul by Bellanova on Kostic, while Torino is dangerous again in the 60th minute, with a header by Sanabria blocked by Szczesny. The last flash of the match came in the 76th minute with substitute Yildiz, whose shot from outside was deflected for a corner by Milinkovic-Savic.

✅  Stats before the game: Juventus is the team that has beaten Torino the most times in Serie A: 77 Juventus victories, compared to 35 Granata victories and 45 draws. Juventus have remained unbeaten in their last 17 Serie A matches against Torino (13W, 4D) and have won the last three, but in this positive series they have never achieved four consecutive victories; in the competition the bianconeri have never reached 18 games without defeat against the granata (17 also between December 1995 and November 2014).  Juventus have scored in all of their last 15 away matches against Torino in Serie A and for the Bianconeri this is the longest open streak of away goals in goals; the only teams against which the Old Lady has done better are Atalanta (21) and Lazio (18). Torino have lost five of their last seven matches against teams who started the day in Serie A in the top three positions (W2); the last time they challenged Juventus in the top three places in the league table dates back to 3 April 2021, drawing 2-2 at home. Torino have kept 10 clean sheets at home in this championship, no team has done better in the 2023/24 Serie A (Inter and Bologna also 10) – furthermore the Granata have never achieved 11 home clean sheets in a single season of Serie A.
