Total failure for Inter. Inter suffering their first lost at the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium this season. Before the game, Inter with 11 points was only +1 point ahead of Cagliari having 10 points. Now, Cagliari overtaking Inter and climbing to 13 points. Interesting to see in this game both coaches debuting in Serie A this season, Inter coach Franck De Boer and Caglairi coach Massimo Rastelli.
Oops… what a luck!!!! Imagine what a tough situation for Inter captain Mauro Icardi who had been contested before the game and almost every time he touches the ball. Making matters worst, Icardi had the chance to open the score when Referee Valeri gave a penalty to Inter in the 24th minute conceded by Bruno Alves after a foul on Icardi. Alves also getting a yellow card. Adding despair…. it is Icardi to go to the penalty spot and mamma mia…. failing to convert the penalty !!!!!!! It could be that Icardi was not concentrated and succumbed to the constant protests of the fans from the first minute of the match.
Inter finally opening the score in the 55th minute. It is Brazilian João Mário to defeat Cagliari goalkeeper Marco Storari with a right footed shot in the center. This is the first goal by Mario with Inter.
Cagliari equalizing in the 71st minute. It is forward Federico Melchiorri to defeat Inter goalkeeper with a left footed shot in the center.
Oops…. definitely a bad day for Inter. Imaging, Cagliari taking the lead thanks to the own goal by Inter goalkeeper Samir Handanovic in the 85th minute.
