The top part of the ranking changes, with the first three who are positioned in a row at a distance of just  one point: Napoli 36, Milan 35 and Inter 34. A little further down, at 31, there is Atalanta.  The championship lights up and offers great emotions, with a balance at the top that hasn’t been seen for years.   Milan and Inter have won their respective matches against Genoa and Venezia.

Sassuolo surviving the challenge stopping the leaders after ending the Serie A Week 15 game with a much suffered draw at the Mapei Stadium.  Napoli, despite the draw, grab an away point keeping the sole leadership with 36 points followed by AC Milan with 35 points, and Inter with 34 points.

Genoa needed to win the Serie A Week 15 game against AC Milan to dream with salvation at the Luigi Ferraris Stadium.  Yet, it is AC Milan to grab this away victory reaching 35 points to keep up the race for the Scudetto being -1 point below Napoli with 36 points and Inter with 34 points.  Genoa Coach Andriy Shevchenko facing his ex-team as coach for the first time with this flop.

Inter with a sprint race winning the Serie A Week 15 game against Spezia at the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium.  For Spezia, this defeat is alarming remaining with 11 points while risking falling down into the relegation zone.

Salernitana losing the Serie A Week 15 game against Juventus at the Arechi Stadium. After defeats to Chelsea and Atalanta, Juventus returning to the winning path claiming this away victory reaching 24 points. Salernitana not finding the light at the end of the tunnel remaining in the last position with only 8 points.

Hellas Verona failing to win the Serie A Week 15 game against Cagliari ending with a goalless draw at the Marc’Antonio Bentegodi Stadium. Cagliari grabbing this golden point reaching 9 points. Igor Tudor has won all of his first five Serie A home games as manager of Verona and can become the second foreign manager to achieve six wins in his first six home games with a single team in the three-point-a-win era, after Leonardo ( who did 12/12, with Inter in 2011).

Fiorentina rushing to climb toward the top 5 positions  winning the Serie A Week 15 game defeating Sampdoria at the Artemio Franchi Stadium.   Fiorentina winning two of their last seven Serie A home games against Sampdoria (2-1 in September 2019): three draws and two Sampdoria successes, in a partial in which both teams have always found the goal.

Atalanta with a sprint race to climb towards the top 3 positions. Atalanta win the Serie A Week 15 game crushing Venezia with a poker at the Gewiss Stadium.  Atalanta  win seven consecutive games against newly promoted teams in Serie A for the first time in their history.

What a precious victory for Bologna being -1 points below AS Roma after winning the Serie A Week 15 game  at the Renato Dall’Ara Stadium.  A flop for AS Roma slowing down to climb towards the top 3 positions.  It’s an emotional game for Sinisa Mihajlovic facing the team with which he made his debut as a player in Serie A (Roma in 1992/93). A reason for Bologna to celebrate because the last time Bologna collected at least 24 points in the first 15 Serie A games was back in 2002/03 (27).

Torino celebrating their 115 years ending the Serie A Week 15 game against Empoli with a draw  at the Olimpico Torino Stadium in Turin, Italy.  To celebrate its 115 years of history, on Thursday 2 December against Empoli, Torino wearing a special shirt to honor such an important milestone.

Lazio ending the Serie A Week 15 game with a draw against Udinese at the Olimpico di Roma Stadium.  We might consider a good result for Lazio considering they were losing the game to save at least 1 point.

Lazio returning in the second half determined and scored another goal to shorten the gap in the 51st minute. It is Pedro to score for the 2-3 with a right footed shot to the bottom right corner.

A fast reaction.Lazio equalizing for the 3-3 in the 56th minute. Sergej Milinkovic-Savic with a left footed shot to the top left corner.

A total turnover! Lazio taking the lead in the 80th minute. Francesco Acerbi to break the draw with a headed shot to the bottom right corner. The assist is by Toma Basic. The goal ratified after reviewing the VAR.

Udinese equalizing for the 4-4 in the 98th minute. Tolgay Arslan crushing Lazio’s dream to claim the victory and equalized with a right footed shot to the top right corner. The assist is by Fernando Forestieri

Stats before the game.  Lazio have won 10 of the last 13 Serie A matches against Udinese (2D, 1L), keeping 10 clean sheets: records of both successes and clean sheets for the Biancocelesti starting from February 2015 in the top flight.  Udinese won the last match played at the Olimpico against Lazio in the league (3-1 in November 2020), after losing the previous five without ever finding the goal. After a 1-3 defeat last season, Lazio could lose two consecutive Serie A home games against Udinese for the first time since 2009.
It was from the 1983/84 season (26 in that case) that Lazio had not collected at least 25 goals in the first 14 Serie A games; for the biancocelesti only two clean sheets so far (they didn’t hurt so badly since 1991/92 at this point in the tournament).  After winning two of the first three games of this championship, Udinese have achieved only one success in the last 11 – since mid-September in fact, only Genoa (zero) have achieved fewer wins than the Friulians (one) in the competition.  Two consecutive defeats for Lazio in the league: it has been since July 2020 that the biancoceleste team has not encountered three knockouts in a row in Serie A.

Ciro Immobile, who scored nine goals in 12 Serie A matches against Udinese (except only against Sampdoria, Cagliari and Genoa), did not hit the target against Napoli: he never stayed two consecutive appearances without scoring in this league.

👉Lineup Lazio (4-3-3): Reina; Lazzari, Patric, Acerbi, Hysaj; S. Milinkovic Savic, Cataldi, Luis Alberto; Pedro, Immobile, Felipe Anderson.

👉Lineup Udinese (4-4-2): Silvestri; N. Perez, Becao, Samir, Udogie; Molina, Walace, Jajalo, Deulofeu; Success, Beto.

A long time has passed since the day of the foundation, December 3, 1906.

Stats before the game.  AC Milan have won six of their last nine Serie A matches against Genoa (2D, 1L), after losing four of the previous five (1W).  Milan have remained unbeaten in their last four away games against Genoa in Serie A (3W, 1D) and have not recorded an unbeaten streak of at least five away games against Grifone in the tournament since the one between 1989 and 2007 (seven – 1W , 6D).   Milan have conceded 16 goals in the last nine league matches (a clean sheet), they had only collected two in the previous nine Serie A games (seven clean sheets).  Genoa have not found the goal since the arrival of Andriy Shevchenko: the Ukrainian could become the fourth manager in the 21st century without goals for his team in all the first three Serie A benches (after Somma in 2005, Longo in 2018 and Grosso in 2019).  Zlatan Ibrahimovic is on 152 goals in Serie A, just one length from 26th place in the competition’s top scorer ranking currently held by Stefano Nyers and Hernán Crespo – he could also join Filippo Inzaghi (73) as 10th top scorer in Serie A with the Milan shirt (the Swede is 72 in the Rossoneri).
