Milan and Salernitana have not met in Serie A since January 31, 1999, a challenge won by the Rossoneri 3-2 with a brace from Bierhoff and a goal from Weah – this match will be played 8343 days after the one in 1999.  The last goal at San Siro by a player from Salernitana in a Serie A match remains that of Alessandro Del Grosso in the 14th minute of the match played in January 1999 against Milan.  No draw in the previous four Serie A matches between Milan and Salernitana: three Rossoneri successes (including two from the 1998/99 season) and a Campania success (4-3 in June 1948).  Franck Ribéry’s latest Serie A goal came against AC Milan last March – 17 goalless games since then in the competition, the Frenchman’s third longest streak in the top five European leagues after 24 games with Fiorentina ( between 2020 and 2021) and 7 pm with Marseille (between 2005 and 2006).
