Just two minutes later, Sarr capitalized on a significant error by Milinkovic-Savic to score, but Elmas responded with a stunning goal three minutes later, resulting in the final score of 1-1. Meanwhile, Verona is also enjoying a positive streak. Their recent 1-0 victory over Udinese, along with a goalless draw against Parma, has helped them maintain a 7-point cushion above the relegation zone, sitting comfortably in 14th place with 30 points.

In the 64th minute, Hellas Verona gained the upper hand. Amin Sarr found the back of the net with a close-range right-footed shot. The moment was a blunder for goalkeeper Milinkovic-Savic, who mishandled a back pass and hesitated to clear the ball. Sarr, sprinting in, intercepted the goalkeeper’s attempted clearance and sent it straight into the goal!

Torino leveled the score in the 67th minute when Eljif Elmas found the net with a left-footed shot into the bottom left corner. The goal was set up by Nikola Vlasic, who, after receiving the ball in the penalty area, cleverly flicked it with his heel for Elmas to chase. Elmas then expertly placed his shot from the right side into the far post, giving Montipò no opportunity to save.

Both teams are in a battle for survival, with just seven games left in the season. This result halted Lecce’s run of five straight losses in the league, although they are still searching for their first win. The draw brings the Giallorossi’s points total to 26, placing them three points ahead of Empoli, who are currently in 18th place. Venezia also earned a point, bringing their total to 21, keeping their hopes for survival alive with seven matches remaining.

AC Milan and Fiorentina ended the Serie A Week 31 with a draw on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at the iconic San Siro Stadium in Milan, Italy.  Milan’s inability to secure a win at home is truly disappointing. Both teams leave with a point, which feels like a setback for Milan’s hopes of advancing in the Champions League, now sitting at 48 points. Meanwhile, Fiorentina, with 52 points, temporarily closes the gap on Lazio.

The match was filled with excitement and momentum shifts. Fiorentina quickly took a two-goal lead within the first ten minutes, thanks to an own goal by Thiaw and a strike from Kean. Milan fought back with a goal from Abraham and later equalized in the second half with Jovic’s effort. In the closing moments, both teams exchanged attacks, and Dodo found the net in the ninetieth minute, but Ayroldi ruled it out for offside.

Both teams have experienced a rollercoaster season and are eager to keep their hopes alive for a spot in a European cup.

To qualify for a European cup, Milan still has the opportunity to compete in the Coppa Italia, with a crucial semi-final return leg against Inter scheduled for the end of the month. Meanwhile, Fiorentina is advancing in the Conference League, where they will take on NK Celje in the quarter-finals.

Fiorentina gained an advantage in the 7th minute due to an own goal by Malick Thiaw. After Musah misplaced the ball in midfield, Mandragora seized the opportunity and passed it to Gudmundsson. As Gudmundsson charged into the box and attempted to cross it, Thiaw inadvertently redirected the ball into his own goal.

It’s not a great day for Milan. Fiorentina struck again in the 10th minute, with Moise Kean scoring from just a few feet away with a right-footed shot into the bottom right corner, thanks to an assist from Dodô. Mandragora sent a ball from the three-quarter line into the area, and Dodô quickly passed it to the center, allowing Kean to score without any defenders around.

In the 65th minute, Luka Jovic leveled the score with a left-footed shot into the bottom left corner. Fikayo Tomori provided the assist, threading a pass through the lines. The Fiorentina defense, caught off guard, failed to notice Jovic sneaking in from behind, allowing him to find himself one-on-one with De Gea, whom he successfully beat.

👉 Parma staged an impressive comeback to finish Serie A Week 31 with a draw against Inter on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at the Ennio Tardini Stadium in Parma, Italy. After trailing 2-0 in the first half due to goals from Darmian and Thuram, the home team rallied in the second half. Bernabè scored in the 60th minute to reduce the deficit, and Ondrejka equalized with a deflected shot in the 69th minute.

Inter entered the match riding high on a three-game winning streak in the league and had previously dominated Parma. Inter remained unbeaten in their last six encounters with four victories and two draws. The last time Parma triumphed over the Nerazzurri in Serie A was on September 15, 2018.  In that occasion, they secured a 1-0 win at the Meazza, highlighted by Federico Dimarco’s first goal of the season.

Inter gained the advantage in the 15th minute when Matteo Darmian found the net with a left-footed shot aimed at the bottom right corner. Dimarco delivered a cross from Valeri, and Darmian, arriving from behind, skillfully outmaneuvered goalkeeper Suzuki to score.

Inter found the net again in the 45th minute, just before halftime. Marcus Thuram scored with a right-footed shot aimed at the bottom left corner, assisted by Henrikh Mkhitaryan. Mkhitaryan dashed past the defense to deliver a pass to Thuram, who, despite not making perfect contact with the ball, still managed to outsmart Suzuki with a tricky shot.

Parma reduced the deficit in the 60th minute when Adrián Bernabé scored with a left-footed shot aimed at the bottom right corner, thanks to an assist from Ange-Yoan Bonny. Bernabé’s angled effort from outside the area successfully beat Sommer.

Parma brought the score to 2-2 in the 69th minute when Jacob Ondrejka scored with a left-footed strike into the bottom left corner, thanks to an assist from Mateo Pellegrino. As Ondrejka moved into the penalty area and fired at goal, a double deflection left Sommer out of position.
