Udinese win convincingly the Serie A Week 5 game crushing AS Roma on Sunday 4 September 2022 at the Dacia Arena in Udine, Italy. Udinese with a poker while Roma seemed to just wave the goals. Udogie breaks the deadlock in the 5th minute. In the second half, Lazar Samardzic doubles in the 56th minute, Roberto Pereyra’s trio in the 75th minute, Lovric also scored for the final smack. Udinese reached 10 points in the standings while Roma remained with 10 and losing the 1st position.  José Mourinho’s Giallorossi are returning from a 3-0 home match against Monza, a match in which Paulo Dybala scored his first goals with Lupa in official matches and reached 100 in Serie A.  This defeat is a slap for Roma ahead of their debut in the Europa League scheduled for Thursday in Razgrad, Bulgaria, against Ludogorets.  Udinese after the debut knockout against Milan at San Siro (4-2), in fact won seven points by drawing at home against Salernitana (0-0) and beating Monza (2-1) away and Fiorentina (1-0).

In the next round, Udinese will play the away game against Sassuolo while Roma will play at home against Empoli.

Udinese opened the score in the 5th minute. Destiny Udogie defeated Roma goalkeeper Rui Patricio from very close range with a left footed shot to the top left corner.

Hellas Veron win their first game this season winning the Serie A Week 5 against Sampdoria on Sunday 4 September 2022 at the Marc’Antonio Bentegodi Stadium in Verona, Italy. It’s a moment to celebrate for Verona because they also moved away from the relegation zone climbing from the 18th to the 13th position. The match is decided in the last five red-hot minutes of the first half: to the splendid goal scored by Caputo in the 40th minute, the hosts responded with a deadly one-two signed by the innocent Audero and by the seal of Doig almost at the end. In the second half there are opportunities for Cioffi’s men, who, however, fail to pierce a superlative Audero.

Sampdoria have now lost two of their last 14 Serie A matches against Verona: 0-2, on 5 October 2019; since then, four Sampdoria wins and a draw, all matches in which both teams have found the net.  Verona and Sampdoria will face each other for the fifth time in Serie A in September: so far, the yellow and blue have never found success (2D, 2PL, drawing 0-0 the only one of these matches played at Bentegodi, in 2017.

In the next round, Sampdoria will play at home against AC Milan while Verona will be playing the away game against Lazio.

Tough luck! Bologna goalkeeper Emil Audero gave the equalizer goal to Hellas Verona after an own goal in the 44th minute.

✅   Stats before the game: Bologna have won all the last three Serie A matches against Spezia: among the teams currently in the competition, only against Sampdoria (seven), the rossoblùs boast a longer open streak of successes.  Spezia have won only one of their 11 Serie A matches against opponents from Emilia: 2-1 against Sassuolo on 6 February 2021 – five draws and as many defeats complete the set. Spezia had never started a Serie A championship and remained undefeated in their first two home games (1W, 1D) and in general they do not remain three games in a row in the maximum tournament at the Peak without losing since November 2021. Lazio lost the Serie A Week 5 game defeated by Napoli on Saturday 3 September  2022 at the Olimpico di Roma Stadium in Rome, Italy.  Lazio took an early lead with Mattia Zaccagni in the 4th minute while Napoli overturned the result claiming the victory.  For the moment, Napoli and AC Milan share 11 points each waiting for the games of Atalanta and Roma. A slap for Lazio and not a good feeling ahead of the UEFA Europa League game on Thursday 8 September against Feyenoord. On the contrary, Napoli with a boost to the morale ahead of the Champions League game on Wednesday 7 September against Liverpool.

✅    The last draw between Lazio and Napoli in Serie A dates back to 5 November 2016 (1-1, Marek Hamsik and Keita Baldé); since then, 11 matches between the two teams in the top league, with a balance largely in favor of the Neapolitans (nine wins to two).  Lazio and Napoli met four times in September, in Serie A: the Neapolitans have always found victory in the partial, always scoring at least three goals per game – the overall result of these four challenges is 15-2 for the Campania region.  From the 2013/14 season onwards, Napoli is the team that has won the most Serie A away games (11) at the Olimpico: of these, seven have come against Lazio (they complete the partial in Rome, against the Biancocelesti, two defeats ).Lazio have drawn four of their last six league games (2W), as many as in the previous 21 (12W, 5L).  Napoli did not find the goal in the last away match against Fiorentina; the Neapolitans do not remain dry for two consecutive Serie A away games since December 2020, with the second match played at the Olimpico, right against Lazio.
