✅  Stats before the game. First confrontation in Serie A between Salernitana and Lecce: in total there are 16 precedents in Serie B between the two teams, with the Apulians leading by seven wins to four – five draws complete the picture in the cadet tournament. Salernitana has always found the goal in eight previous Serie B home games against Lecce, obtaining three wins, three draws and two defeats – however the Campania region has not found the three points in the three matches against Salento played since 2010 (1N, 2P ). Salernitana have lost only two of their last 14 Serie A matches (5V, 7N) – in fact, in the partial, since mid-April, only two teams have recorded fewer defeats than the Campania region in the top flight: Milan (zero) and Naples (one). Salernitana has already scored seven points in these first six days of the championship: last season the Campania region needed 10 matches to reach the same tally – compared to the first six games of 2021/22 moreover, Nicola’s team scored more twice as many goals (9 v 4) and has collected less than half (6 v 15). Lecce did not collect only three points after the first six Serie A matches of the season since 2003/04, when they were newly promoted and managed to find salvation at the end of the season.
