Atalanta lead in the 32nd minute of the first half with Hans Hateboer: Koopmeiners unloads for Lookman. The Empoli defense deflects the shot, but the ball carom on the far post in the Dutchman’s area, which he puts in from close range. At 42′ Atalanta wasted the 0-2 ball: Ayroldi awards a penalty for a hand ball by Destro, but Koopmeiners lets himself be hypnotized by goalkeepers Vicario. In the second half, Atalanta doubles with Ademola Lookman, who at 59 ‘receives inside the area and scored. In the final minutes, a goal canceled on each side, first to Zapata and then to Ebuehi, both not validated for offside position.

The fourth confrontation between Paolo Zanetti and Gian Piero Gasperini, as coaches: in the previous 3, which date back to last season when the current blue coach sat on the bench of Venice, coach Atalantino was always victorious with 9 goals scored and only 1 immediately.

Atalanta opened the score in the 32nd minute. Hans Hateboer defeated Empoli goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario from very close range with a left-footed shot to the bottom left corner.

Referee Giovanni Ayroldi gave a penalty to Atalanta. In the 42nd minute, Teun Koopmeiners failed to convert a penalty because goalkeeper Vicario saved the left footed shot it in the center.

In the last round, Atalanta lost without scoring their first match of this championship (record for the Dea with the first defeat arrived in the 11th game) – the Bergamo team were unbeaten since last May, when they lost two consecutive matches, both without finding the net, one of the two against Empoli.

The redemption moment for Juventus after their Champions League elimination. Juventus returning from two victories against Turin and Empoli and eager to shorten the European zone. In the thirteenth round, Baroni’s boys will be protagonists of the advance against Udinese while Allegri’s team will face Inter.

Four yellow cards for Juventus in the first half.

Juventus, finally, opened the score in the 73rd minute. Nicolò Fagioli defeated Lecce goalkeeper Falcone with a right-footed shot to the top right corner. The assist is by Samuel Iling-Junior.

Stats before the game. Juventus won the last precedent 4-0 against Lecce in Serie A, on 26 June 2020 – the bianconeri have not obtained two consecutive wins against the Salento in the league since 2008 and have not kept a clean sheet in two consecutive games since 2002. Napoli crushing Sassuolo with Victor Osimhen scoring a hat-trick in the 77th minute. Osimhen scored with a right-footed shot to the bottom left corner.

✅  Stats before the game.  After the 6-1 win last April, Napoli could record two straight wins against Sassuolo in Serie A for the third time, after two with Gennaro Gattuso in 2020 and three with Rafael Benítez in 2015.  Sassuolo have won two of the 18 Serie A matches against Napoli, both successes arrived in the first round (2015 and 2020) – that of November 2020 was also the only match in which the neroverdi kept a clean sheet against the Neapolitans in the competition (0-2 at Maradona).  Napoli are unbeaten in 15 Serie A matches (13W, 2D), the longest open streak among the teams currently in Serie A: the Neapolitans started this unbeaten series against Sassuolo, thanks to the 6-1 on 30 April last. Napoli are currently two points less than the first 11 games played in the Corsican championship (29 v 31) – however, the Neapolitans drew the next in the 2021/22 season – with a success against Sassuolo they would equal their record of points after 12 matches in a Serie A season (32).
