Serie A Standing BEFORE the game:
AS Roma, 8th position with 22 points and a positive goal difference of +3
Hellas Verona, 19th position with 5 points and a negative goal difference of -11

Hellas Verona lost the Serie A Week 4 game against AS Roma on Monday 31 October at the Marc’Antonio Bentegodi Stadium in Verona, Italy.  Roma regained success and climbed from the 8th to 4th place at 25 points, overtaking Inter and Lazio. After the first half ended in a draw with Verona already in ten due to the expulsion of Dawidowicz, Mourinho’s team resolved the match at the end with goals from Volpato and Stephan El Shaarawy. This is the 7th consecutive defeat for Hellas Verona.

In the next round, Hellas Verona will play away in Monza, while Roma will be involved in the derby against Lazio. Roma collected at least four in the top league away from home since the final of the 2019/20 championship (the one concluded between July and August).

Hellas Verona opened the score in the 27th minute. Pawel Dawidowicz defeated AS Roma goalkeeper Rui Patricio with a right-footed shot to the bottom right corner. The assist is by Marco Faraoni following a corner conceded by Rick Karsdorp.

Chaos for Verona. Referee Sacchi upgraded a yellow card to a red card in the 36th minute for Pawel Dawidowicz after a foul on Nicolò Zaniolo.

Roma equalized for the 1-1 in the 45th minute just before ending the first half. Nicolò Zaniolo scored with a left-footed shot to the bottom left corner.

The Giallorossi took the lead in the 88th minute. Cristian Volpato scored with a left-footed shot to the bottom right corner. The assist is by Nemanja Matic.

Roma sealed the victory in the 92nd minute. Forward Stephan El Shaarawy with a right-footed shot to the bottom left corner. The assist is by Cristian Volpato.

Stats before the game. Verona have won in two (one at table) of the last four matches against Roma in Serie A (1D, 1L), after having collected 17 games in a row without ever beating the Giallorossi in the top flight (5D, 12L). Considering the table victory of September 2020, Hellas Verona comes from two successes in a row at the Bentegodi against Roma in Serie A: it is from the three-year period 1984-85-86 that the Venetians have not obtained three home victories in a row against the Capitoline in the top league. Roma have collected five wins and two draws in their last seven Serie A matches with teams starting the day in one of the bottom three positions of the standings: the last defeat dates back to a match against Verona, in September 2021 (it was the fourth day of the championship and it was played at Bentegodi). Verona have collected six defeats in a row for the third time in their history in Serie A: on the other two occasions in which it has happened – 2018 and 1979 – they have also lost the seventh game.

👉 Lineup HELLAS VERONA (3-4-2-1): Montipò; Davidowicz, Gunter, Ceccherini; Faraoni, Veloso, Tameze, Depaoli; Hongla, Kallon; Henry.

👉 Lineup AS ROMA (3-4-2-1): Rui Patricio; Mancini, Smalling, Ibanez; Karsdorp, Cristante, Camara, Zalewski; Zaniolo, Pellegrini; Abraham.

Serie A Standing BEFORE the game:
AC Milan, 2nd position with 26 points and a positive goal difference of +13
Torino, 10th position with 14 points and a negative goal difference of -3

Torino with a prestigious victory. Torino win the Serie A Week 12 game against AC Milan on Sunday 30 October 2022 at the Olimpico di Torino Stadium in Turin, Italy.  This is a flop for AC Milan losing after 17 away games without a single defeat (W12, D5), stopping the longest open run in the Big-5 European Leagues. Torino climbed from the 10th to the 9th place with 17 points. Milan remained with 26 points, overtaken by Atalanta. In the next round, Milan-Spezia and Bologna-Torino. Torino beat Milan by capitalizing on the two goals by Koffi Djidji and Aleksey Miranchuk gained in the first half of the game. In the second half, Junior Messias shortens the distance for the final 2 to 1.

Theo Hernández wears the Captain armband tonight.

✅  Stats before the game: Torino drew (0-0) in their last Serie A match against AC Milan, having collected four defeats without ever scoring a goal in their previous four games against the Rossoneri in the competition. Torino have not scored a Serie A goal against Milan for 464 minutes (excluding recoveries): the last goal scored by the grenade against the Rossoneri in the competition is that of Belotti in the 76th minute of Turin-Milan 2-1 on 26 September 2019 ( date of Torino’s last success against the Lombard team). In the last 11 Serie A matches between Turin and Milan at the home of the grenades, there have been seven draws (two wins each side complete the balance sheet), including the one in the last match in order of time (0-0 in April): from 2006/07 to today, the Rossoneri is the team against which Torino have drawn several times at home in the maximum tournament (seven in fact). Torino – who regained their victory in their last match against Udinese – have not managed to achieve two consecutive Serie A successes since January (victories against Fiorentina and Sampdoria).

Lazio, 3rd position with 24 points and a positive goal difference of +18
Spezia, 11th position with 13 points and a negative goal difference of  -3

Lazio lost the Serie A Week 12 game against Salernitana on Sunday 30 October 2022 at the Olimpico di Roma Stadium in Rome, Italy.  Lazio living a nightmare night crushed by Salernitana.   Contrariwise, it’s a dream night for Salernitana conquering the Olimpico.  Nicola’s team, after ending the first half at a disadvantage due to Mattia Zaccagni’s goal, overturns the result in the second half. The equalizer was scored by the former Biancoceleste Antonio Candreva, while the ‘trick’ was served by the former Roma player Fazio inside the area. The trio arrives on the counterattack, with a now frayed Lazio, thanks to Dia on an assist from Bradaric

Lazio opened the score in the 41st minute. Mattia Zaccagni defeated Salernitana goalkeeper Luigi Sepe with a left-footed shot to the center. The assist is by Luis Alberto.

Salernitana equalized for the 1-1 in the 51st minute. Antonio Candreva defeated Lazio goalkeeper Ivan Provedel with a right-footed shot to the bottom left corner. The assist is by Pasquale Mazzocchi.

Federico Fazio break the draw in the 68th minute with a right-footed shot to the bottom left corner. The assist is by Flavius Daniliuc following a corner conceded by Alessio Romagnoli.

Salernitana taking a wide lead in the 76th minute. Boulaye Dia scored from very close range with a right-footed shot to the bottom right corner. The assist is by Domagoj Bradaric.

✅     Stats before the game: No draw in the previous six Serie A matches between Lazio and Salernitana: four Biancocelesti wins and two from Campania, the last of which was dated November 1, 1998 (1-0 in Salerno, German goal). Lazio have won the three home matches against Salernitana in Serie A, always scoring at least three goals; in the last intersection at the Olimpico last season the final was 3-0 (goals from Immobile, Pedro and Luis Alberto). Lazio is the team that has not conceded a goal (six) in the major five European championships in a row for several games in a row: Sarri’s team is only one game away from equaling the historic record streak of seven clean sheets of the biancoceleste club in Serie A, collected between February and March 1998 with Sven-Göran Eriksson on the bench.

Serie A Standing BEFORE the game:
Spezia, 16th position with 9 points and a negative goal difference of -11
Fiorentina, 14th position with 10 points and a negative goal difference of -5

Fiorentina win the Serie A Week 12 game at the Alberto Picco Stadium in Spezia, Italy on Sunday 30 October 2022. The victory relaunches Fiorentina which reaches 13 points and had not won in the league since mid-September. A sour note is for Spezia remaining with 9 points risking to go down to the relegation zone. In the next round Milan-Spezia and Sampdoria-Fiorentina.

Fiorentina manages to take home the victory after a match fought until the last moment. Milenkovic leads the Viola while Nzola equalized for the 1-1. In the second half, chances on both sides, including a post hit by Jovic, but the turning point comes with the red for Nikolau. Spezia remains in 10 and in the 90th minute Cabral scores the three-point goal.

Fiorentina opened the score in the 14th minute. Nikola Milenković defeated Spezia goalkeeper Bartlomiej Dragowskifrom very close range with a headed shot to the bottom left corner. The assist is by Cristiano Biraghi with a cross following a corner conceded by Arkadiusz Reca.

Spezia equalized in the 35th minute. MBala Nzola scored from very close range with a left-footed shot to the center. The assist is by Albin Ekdal.

Fiorentina scored the winner goal in the 90th minute with a goal by Arthur Cabral.

✅  Stats before the game: In the four previous Serie A games between Spezia and Fiorentina there are three purple victories: the balance is completed in the first absolute match between the two teams in the maximum tournament, 2-2 on 18 October 2020. Fiorentina scored exactly two goals in both away games played against Spezia in Serie A: 2-2 at Manuzzi in the first away match, 2-1 victory in the last match at Picco on February 14, 2022 (goals from Piatek, Agudelo and Amrabat).  Spezia is – like Bochum – one of the two teams of the major five European championships 2022/23 that has collected all the points of the season at home: the Ligurian one, in particular, is one of the three teams of this Serie A still unbeaten in home together with Juventus and Napoli (two wins and three draws for the Eaglets). This is only the ninth time in its history that Fiorentina have won two or fewer matches in the first 11 matches of a Serie A championship: the last in 2020/21, when they collected nine points in the first 11 and closed the season at 13. Th final place.

👉 Lineup SPEZIA (3-5-2): Dragowski – Ampadu, Kiwior, Nikolaou – Holm, Ekdal, Bourabia, Agudelo, Reca – Gyasi, Nzola.
👉 Lineup FIORENTINA (4-3-3): Terracciano – Dodò, Milenkovic, Martinez Quarta, Biraghi – Bonaventura, Amrabat, Mandragora – Ikonè, Jovic, Kouame.

Cremonese and Udinese ended the Serie A Week 12 game with a goalless draw on Sunday 30 October 2022 at the Giovanni Zini Stadium in Cremona, Italy.  Cremonese remained in the last position with 5 points.  It is the fourth game without a win for Udinese which slips to eighth place, reached by Juventus. Udinese have a better start in both fractions but Cremonese managed to resist. Udinese have the most sensational opportunity with 30 seconds remaining with a counter foot wasted by Deulofeu.

In the next round, Cremonese will play the away game against Salernitana, while Udinese will take the field on their own pitch against Lecce.

Stats before the game. Cremonese and Udinese return to face each other in Serie A 9765 days after the last meeting, dated 4 February 1996, which ended 2-2 with Matjaz Florijancic’s goal in extremist.  Udinese have lost only one of their eight Serie A matches against Cremonese (0-2 on 19 May 1985) – two wins and five draws complete the picture in the competition.  Cremonese is unbeaten in four Serie A home games against Udinese, thanks to a success followed by three draws – the Friulian team is in fact the team faced several times at home by the Lombards without ever recording defeats in the maximum tournament.  Cremonese remained one of two teams in the top five European leagues to have not yet found success this season (together with Elche) – all the last three unsuccessful formations after 11 Serie A seasonal matches are relegated at the end of the season ( Verona 2015/16, Benevento 2017/18 and Chievo 2018/19).
